21.01.2022 Hi everyone, "Trade Quotes x 3"! We are a family-run Northern Beaches Drainage buisness. My post today is not only about trying to help the Property Owner with... their drainage issues but mainly it is about trying to encourage the Consumer to please, please shop around when getting quotes from Tradesmen. I would recommend at least 3 quotes. We are seeing all too often where customers are being overcharged or quoted for works not needed. Recently, we had a call where the Customer was quoted $15k+ for Relining and/or repairing their pipes. After our visit, our quote was approx. $5k. It costs nothing to get another quote and do your homework on the company. Ask questions like how long have you been Relining/in business for? Will they be around to warrant any guarantees? In this case, the Customer, a highly educated person was embarrassed and upset that they were taken advantage of so easily. So please give us a call for a free quote, we are Specialised Plumbers and can help with any sewer, stormwater, drainage problems you may have? www.streamlinepipes.com.au or Kevin on 0415299544. 17.01.2022 I'm super excited to announce our March speaker! None other than the world's foremost authority on ADHD - Dr Russell Barkley!! Dr Barkley will be discussing ...his 14 Best Best Principles for Raising a Child with ADHD. As he approaches the end of his career, Dr Barkley, the world's foremost authority on ADHD, decided to distill the major principles that parents need to know to raise a child with ADHD to be a more contented and effective individual while sustaining the bond of the parent-child relationship. From reviewing all newly published research on ADHD weekly, to his familiarity with the extensive past research on the disorder, from his teaching thousands of professionals worldwide through more than 800 invited lectures across more than 30 countries, and helping thousands of families directly with their ADHD children in his practice, he pulls together the essential ideas parents need to know. Some of these deal with parent’s attitude or mental stance toward their child and toward ADHD, others deal with how best to address the deficits in executive functioning and self-regulation, and still others address behaviour management issues. A truly seminal lecture that has yielded standing ovations from appreciative audiences internally, it is one professionals and parents do not want to miss. Please note that due to the time difference between the US and Australia, Dr Barkley has pre-recorded this lecture for ADHD Support Australia and will sadly not be speaking live. 16.01.2022 Rusti fig closure: Hey everyone, I though to would take the time to explain what is happening with rusti fig at the moment. ... Yesterday we were notified by the department of health that a customer who has tested positive to covid was at our venue on Saturday 12th from 9-10am. They explained that the customer ordered inside the shop and then sat outside the entire time. Unfortunately though for our staff who were working that day and other customers dining in at that time they are considered close contacts. This means that regardless of their covid results they must undergo a 14 day isolation which was able to start from the day of contact (12th dec). We are taking this extremely seriously for the safety of all involved. All staff even if they weren’t working this day have been tested and all are negative (yaaay). The shop has been shut and is booked in for a professional specialised covid deep clean tomorrow morning. After this we will be able to reopen, cleaner and safer than ever! We wanted to say a huge thank you to the community for their amazing support and kind words during such a stressful and devastating time for all.

12.01.2022 We have another very special guest speaker joining us in April for a live online Q&A! Dr Mona Delahooke - author of the break-through book 'Beyond Behaviours: U...sing Brain Science & Compassion to to Understand & Solve Children's Behavioural Challenges', is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 30 years experience caring for children and their families. She is a frequent speaker, trainer, and consultant to parents, organisations, schools, and public agencies and has dedicated her career to promoting compassionate, relationship-based, neuro-developmental interventions for children with developmental, behavioural, emotional, and learning differences. Over the last 30 years, as a psychologist, Dr Delahooke became increasingly concerned about the shortcomings in how we help children and teens with behavioural challenges and developmental differences. She believes many of our current approaches are out-dated, since they were developed well before the decade of the brain, which provided a wealth of knowledge about how humans develop psychological resilience and informed us how to apply this knowledge to behaviourally challenged and neuro-divergent children. This talk will be highly relevant to parents, family members, teachers and other professionals working with children with ADHD or behavioural challenges. I invite you to join me in speaking with Dr Delahooke, who is leading a movement that insists we do better for our vulnerable children by using cutting edge brain science, emotional development, compassion and HOPE. Please send your question for Dr Delahooke to [email protected] To find out more/book tickets: www.adhdsupportaustralia.com.au/events Unable to attend and would like to see a recording of this and past talks? 09.01.2022 COVID-19 BUSINESS UPDATE - from Jason Falinski MP We all have a role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and supporting our community in the coming months. I know that many businesses are doing it tough because of the impact of COVID-19. Many are struggling to stay open and keep employees in jobs. ... We are distributing important information on government measures to local businesses as it becomes available. Please forward this email to businesses you know may be interested. The Federal Government announced a $17.6 billion stimulus package on 12 March 2020 which aims to help businesses trade through the coming months and keep Australians in jobs. We know it is not enough. There will be more assistance for business in future additional packages. The targeted stimulus package announced on 12 March 2020 has several parts relevant for businesses: - A tax-free payment of up to $25,000 for small and medium-sized businesses to assist with cash flow, helping to keep Australians in jobs; - The introduction of a subsidy of 50% of an apprentice or trainees wage for up to 9 months from 1 January 2020 to 30 September 2020 for eligible businesses; - Backing business investment with a limited-time investment incentive worth $3.2 billion; and - Increasing the instant asset write-off threshold from $30,000 to $150,000 and expanding access to include businesses with aggregated annual turnover of less than $500 million until 30 June 2020. Additionally, the Australian Taxation Office will be providing administrative relief for some tax obligations on a case-by-case basis. For more information on the economic response, please call the Treasury hotline on (02) 6263 3030 (Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm) or visit: treasury.gov.au/coronavirus Taking care of your health and the health of your employees is also critical to contain the economic impact. Health advice is being updated regularly. Stay up-to-date with the latest information at: health.gov.au. The Australian Banking Association has today announced banks will defer loan repayments for 6 months for small businesses who need assistance due to COVID-19. This relief will allow more than $100 billion of existing small business loans to be deferred and in doing so provide repayment relief of up to $8 billion over the next six months. All health-related enquiries about COVID-19 should be directed to the 24/7 national hotline on 1800 020 080.

03.01.2022 Hi everyone, Tradesmen Quote advice. Please always get at least 3 x quotes from any Tradesmen. We are a family-run Drainage Specialist company specialising in ...#PipeRepair/ #piperelining. We have been in business for over 50 years and have seen it all. Lately, we have had a few people being charged thousands for works not even needed. Most Tradesmen are honest but like anything, there is always 'those few'. We would be happy to offer a free quote using a camera for free, offering 'peace of mind' and 'clarity'. Here is a review from just one of the many Customers that we managed to save thousands for. "I would like to thank Streamline Drains & Pipelines for their free CCTV Inspection of my sewer. I previously had a well-established Pipe Relining Company repair some of my pipes and as part of this service, they offered to return annually to inspect the line at no charge. After the recent annual inspection, I was told that I needed to spend a further $5K on the same line but in a different area. I decided to check this assessment so I called Streamline Drains who arrived and inspected this pipe. While I was watching on the TV monitor I was advised that there was no evidence of tree root infiltration at all. Naturally, I did not go ahead with the works, thanks to Streamline" John.W

02.01.2022 Something I’ve noticed in Newport that happens more than anywhere else I’ve lived. Outdoor Showers are so popular, I’ve installed 3 in the last week and I can s...ee why they are so popular. They double as a Dog wash, keep the sand out of your home and wash the dog outside in warm water this summer If you want to see if one would work at your place just message me and I’ll drop over and see what I can do. BTW they’re not that expensive to do neither David The Clean Plumber Northern Beaches. See more
