25.01.2022 Merry Christmas from all of us at the Newro Foundation! We hope you and your loved ones enjoy this festive season.

24.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we share this news. Craig & his wife, Kylie, have been strong ambassadors of the Newro Foundation over a number of years. Craig's inspirational journey will live in the hearts of all those he encouraged during their times of struggle. Our deepest condolences are with the Hannam family.

22.01.2022 The Newro Foundation wishes you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We thank you for all your support throughout 2020 and are looking forward to continuing our work to develop new and better treatments for brain cancer and other conditions in 2021!

22.01.2022 We need your token vote! Newro Foundation now has a jar at Grill'd Rosalie and we need all the tokens we can get to raise some much needed funding. Head on down, grab a take away and don't forget to ask for your token to be added to the Newro Foundation jar!

21.01.2022 Lest we forget.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Kylie on the wonderful gala launch of @All in the Mind...A Craig Hannam Foundation that was held last Friday night. Almost $30,000 was raised with a good portion of this being raised for the Newro Foundation. Thank you to everyone for opening your wallets to support this very worthy cause. Kylie, we can't thank you enough for your generosity and commitment to supporting the work we're doing to help find a cure for brain cancer. ... https://www.facebook.com/allinthemindfoundation #curebraincancer #allinthemindfoundation See more

20.01.2022 In a recent clinical trial, Qld researchers have shown that patients who received a cellular immunotherapy for the deadly brain cancer glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) survived longer on average, than would have been expected without the treatment. Prof Rajiv Kanna AO, one of QIMR’s leading researchers, developed the immunotherapy with his team. The therapy was tested in a clinical trial of 25 patients at Briz Brain & Spine in collaboration with neurosurgeon, Prof David Walker, and the Newro Foundation. 13.01.2022 Recently the Newro Foundation said goodbye to a true ambassador for Brain Cancer. Craig stated that cancer did not bring him to his knees but brought him to his feet. Craig was dedicated to raising awareness and funding for brain cancer supportive care and clinical research for close to 8 years following his diagnosis. His achievements following his diagnosis inspired fellow brain cancer patients and families, his clinical team, the research team and many others. Behind Craig... is an amazing family. With the support of his family, Craig’s independence was always maintained. Craig was always frank and brutally honest helping us to stay focused on driving research initiatives. With his infectious laugh, Craig is truly an EVERYDAY HERO.

13.01.2022 The Newro Foundation's research team, Prof David Walker and Beth Morrison, have been working in collaboration with the School of Medicine, QIMR and the Department of Pathology, Hong Kong, to research the impact of pre-therapy glioblastoma multiforme microenvironment on clinical response to autologous CMV-specific T-cell therapy. We are excited to announce, the Australian and New Zealand Society for Immunology Inc. have recently published the findings in the following research paper. 03.01.2022 We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to the Newro Foundation. Every dollar gets us closer to discovering new treatments for brain and spine conditions and improving the lives of those affected. We just couldn't do it without you!

01.01.2022 May is Brain Cancer Awareness month. Such a personal month for Craig and Me. Not only a month to highlight this horrible disease but also the Month Craig was d...iagnosed. I use to always feel anxious around this time as I recall those first few weeks of uncertainty and fear. Our world was changing forever and not a thing we could do about it. Did it get easier or do we just learn to handle it better? In hindsight we just got better at handling our new normal. Spread the word for Brain Cancer Awareness month so hopefully others in the future don’t have our experience.
