23.01.2022 I went chasing storms at Cape York, to get some file vision of the first storms of the season. These are usually big ones. Well, it didn't disappoint. Running south from Lakeland, we got stuck between huge, lightning active cells. Made it difficult to get any good shots. Way too dangerous. This video is one we managed to get ahead of.

22.01.2022 I'm probably shooting myself in the foot a little, business wise here. But after being in the media for over 20 years, I'm surprised how the whole Covid-19 news is covered. Guess some media outlets have to sensationalize news to bump up ratings. So they can charge more for slots, and get more advertising dollars. So if "your" news is on a commercial station, or a paper owned by someone who has a strangle hold on the editorial content, your probably being fed what they think w...ill rate better, or their own personal agenda. This is why stations like our national broadcaster, the ABC, are so important in times like this. Why I write this, I'm often asked who I watch for news. Well, in Australia, ABC and SBS. But in this age of the internet, I watch a lot of overseas stuff too. My top three would be, Channel News Asia out of Singapore, BBC International, and Al Jazeera English. All with great online streams. PNG also put a lot of stories up on Facebook through "Loop PNG". Geographically, they are our nearest neighbor, so probably we should know what they are doing as well. Hope this all helps.
