18.01.2022 With Spring upon us, many eyes will be turning towards the pool and wondering, will it be open, if so what hours, what restrictions will be involved. So, to answer your questions..........We have no idea at this stage. The Pool Events Committee executive are waiting for Sept 13 to pass us by so we can sit down with representatives from the Council and YMCA to discuss options for the 20/21 season. Without a clear pathway from the State Government it is understandably difficu...lt for us to pave a pathway of our own for the upcoming season. So, at this stage, we are working headlong towards the pool opening as per normal early in December, weather permitting, but this is subject to change as we just have no idea what and how any restrictions will apply. Keep an eye on this page for more updates as we get closer.
18.01.2022 NOTICE OF AGM!!!!! The Newstead Pool Events Committee will be holding their AGM on Monday 30 Nov 2020 at 7:30pm at the Newstead Football/Netball Club rooms. All welcome. We will discuss the upcoming season, appoint new committee and executive members and discuss the future of the pool.... We will also brief on the situation with regard to COVID 19 and how it will affect pool operations, as much as we know. Please, tell your friends, tell EVERYONE. Come on down and support your local pool.

12.01.2022 Now that school has returned, the Newstead Pool will return to it's normal hours which are as follows: Thursday 46pm Friday 48pm Saturday 28pm... 11.01.2022 The AGM was held last night at the NFNC Clubrooms. We had a good turn out and as a result were able to fill all our executive and general committee positions as follows: President - Hilton Hazeltine Vice-President - Kylie Brew Secretary - Lisa Gunders... Treasurer - Craig Sproat General Committee - Alex Whitlock, Pat Fensham, Rick Wright, Jane Arnott, Will Donkin, Kellie Curtis, John Nieman and Gemma Holden. Thankyou to everyone who turned up last night and to all those above who will be taking on the roles of events for this season. A HUGE thankyou to outgoing president Karly Smith for her efforts over the past 2 years. There has certainly been some challenges thrown at her and she handled it all beautifully and has left some very big shoes for me to fill. Thanks again Karly for your efforts. To our new committee, welcome. Some new faces and some keen to go around again. I look forward to working with you all and with the broader community to make this season full of fun and laughter at our beautiful pool. As is the case in past years, the opening weekend forecast is ordinary to say the least, but at this stage the pool will be opening on Saturday as planned. Details with regard to COVID restrictions (if any) will be advised as soon as we have them available.

04.01.2022 Guess what? It's nearly pool opening time. The pool will open on Saturday 5th December at 2pm (weather permitting) for the first day of the Summer Pool season.
