25.01.2022 *Great News* (Apologies this may get a little long winded please bear with us). We are now open for Dine-In Meals, however we do have a few chages to how we operate our dining room due to the current restrictions enforced by the goverment. Firstly and this is a big one, before being seated at your table we are required to collect the name and a point of contact (phone number or email address) for every customer, this is in the case that an outbreak of COVID does occur, it wil...l make it easier to track the number of people in the southwest that will need to be tested, we will not be using this informattion for anything other than providing it to the necessary government depatrtments if requested and the records will be destroyed when we are told we can get rid of them. As we are currently only able to seat a maximum of 20 diners at any one time, so more than ever reservations on Friday and Saturday nights are so very important. We will seat walk-in customers if andd when we are able to however without a booking you will be rolling the dice to see if we have a table available. On weekends we will have two seatings per evening the first will start at 5pm and tthe second will start at 7pm, we suggest to allow upto 1.5 hours for your meal if you are going to have starters and dessert with your meal. On weekdays we will have a limit of 1.5 hour per table so that we may use the table again for another party, if no one is waiting for the table this may be extended. It will take a bit of getting used to but with everyones support on this and with everyone doing the right thing we will be able to see the end of these restrictions sooner rather than later, so a big thank you to all of our customers for your understanding and patience through all of this.

21.01.2022 With Everything going on at the moment and more restrictions to our lives on a daily basis we are certinly entering a new era of how we approach running our businesses and day to day life activites. Once again we would like to thank all of our wonderful customers for all of your support through these times. Over the next few months, as a community we will need to support eachother and more importantly the essential workers out there on the front lines of this pandemic.... The people I am referring to today are all of the staff members that work at our Medical Facilities, Police Stations, Fire Stations, Schools, Childcare Facilities and Emergency Services. These are the ladies and gentlemen who will keep us going and I am sure at the other end of this these members of our community will be some of the true unsung heros. Which is why we want to do as much as we can to support these members of our community where we can, so we have decided that any orders delivered to Aged Care Faciites, Hospitals, Medical Centres, Schools, Police Stations, Childcare Facilities and Centres for our Emergency Services such as SES, Fire Stations and St John of God Ambulance centres will be delivered to you without any delivery fees, we also have Coles across the road from us so if you are stuck we can also obtain some essentials and/or groceries and bring them to you with your order. 21.01.2022 We hope that everyone is staying safe during the storm tonight! We must apologize to our lovely customers in Cowaramup as we will be unable to deliver to you this coming Wednesday the 27th of May as our main delivery vehicle will be out of action for a couple of days! 18.01.2022 We would like to say a massive thank you to all of our wonderful customers that have kept our business alive over the last few months! It has been a turbulent time and we could not ask for a better and more loyal group of customers! As you know we have made changes to our business over the last few months, one of the biggest changes was for us to start home delivery for our food, as the winds of change blow we must change with them, as such from this weekend we will be restr...ucturing our delivery service, fear not we are not stopping home delivery, we do however have to limit our delivery days for the time being! So currently our delivery days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Yes this does mean that we won't be delivering on friday and Saturday, however this is just while we restructure and hire one or two new staff members so that we can keep up with demand for our food!

16.01.2022 Ok so our post regarding our fund raising for the Bushfire Relief fund was long winded, so here are the basics: We will be donating a total of $1500 with $908 riased over two weekends, and $592 added from the Newtown Family.

16.01.2022 We would like to thank the wonderful team at Jack In The Box who have provided us a platform which allows us to take orders using the intternet. Currently there is two ways to access online ordering from us: Option 1: using your desktop or notebook computer you can order through our Facebok page (not the mobile app) in the menu oln the left of the page sccroll down to "See MENU & Order"... Option 2: you can place your order using our newly eestablished website www.vassenewtownchinese.com Currently we do not have an option to pay through our website, however wee are looking into this. For Home delivery orders one of our friendly staff members will give you a ring to process card payments over the phone.

16.01.2022 We are happy to announce that as of today the 25th of March our customers will be able to receive our delicious food delivered straight to your doorstep! Delivery times will be every day that we are open from 5pm to 8pm. The minimum order value for home delivery is $30.We will deliver from Geographe through to Dunsborough. We will also look into doing a run to Cowaramup a few times a week if your customers call for delivery that far.... Orders within 5km will be charged a $5 delivery fee which will be waved if the order is more than $60! Orders outside of this 5km radius will incur a $10 delivery fee which we will reduce to $5 if the order is over $75 If absolutely necessary we will accept cash payments at the door, however we would prefer to take payment over the phone, we will be operating a contactless delivery model with every care taken to not spread any germs.

12.01.2022 No doubt we have all be deeply affected by the bushfire current raging in Perth, we all either know someone or know of someone who has lost so much in the last few days. To that end we will be donating $3 for every Honey Chicken and $1 for every serve of fried rice sold over the weekend! We will also have a donation tin up at our front counter which we will also match dollar for dollar for anyone who wishes to donate.... We will keep you all updated with the final total on Tuesday!

12.01.2022 We would like to thank the Lovely people of Cowaramup for the support that you have shown us over the last few weeks, we understand that it must be very frustrating that we have been unable to include Cpwaramup into our delivery area, unfortunately it is just a little tpo far, especially if we send our drivers out multiple times in an evening as it can take upto an hour for the round trip.

12.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone who has came to our restaurant last weekend to help us support and raise money for our contributions to the Bushfire relief efforts. We know that you have all been waiting for over a week to find the total that we raised, however when we saw some of the images of the devistation caused we thought we woluld quietly extend our efforts to a second weekend. We are so pleased to let you know the total number of serves of Fried Rice sold was 467 and ...the total numer of Honey Chickens sold was 147, so after calculting everything out we raised a total of $908 through sales, we have deceided to raise the amount by another 65% so we will be donating a total of $1500 to the Lord Mayors Bushfire Relief Fund. Thank you to everyone who helped us to raise this money through your choice to order with us and for those who donated above and beyond our call.

10.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful customers for supporting us and our fundraising efforts! Currently our tally sits at 75 serves of Fried Rice and 28 serves of Honey Chicken. So after night one we have a total of $162 which we are pleased to round up to $200 raised for bushfire relief! ... Remember we will be continuing this for the whole weekend, so please come down and grab some lunch or dinner and help us to support the relief fund! If you don't feel like Chinese tonight, please remember to support local small business as many businesses have taken a big hit over the last week, and these small businesses are what makes the south west such a fantastic place to live and visit!

09.01.2022 In our workplace we have recently had m. chats about some of the talented local musicians that we have in our South West area, and the hardships thay may be going through due to the pandemic. As a result of this we would like to put a call out to any local musicians or anyone who knows a musician that would be interested in having their music played in our restaurant. We don't have a space for live music but we do have our soundsystem through which we play our music, and of ...course we would purchase the media from you. We figure that we can do our little bit to help by playing your music and maybe potting up a poster or two if you have them. Of course the music has to be appropriate which means no swearing and not too heavy as we are a family friendly restaurant! 08.01.2022 Good news everybody! We will be open for business as (pre-lockdown) usual as of 6pm tonight! As always our doors will be open for takeaway from 5pm however in following the rules set out for us we will only be able to seat tables from 6pm! ... We have a few bookings ready to go and plenty of space for walk-ins... at this stage!

06.01.2022 We are so excited to let everyone know that after 8 weeks of restrictions that have not allowed us to seat any diners in our restaurant we will be able to welcome back our wonderful customers to once again dine in and enjoy our service within lour premises. We will be reopening our dining room on Tuesday the 19th of May, that is the good news as we all know with the good comes the not so great news that we will only be allowed to seat upto 20 patrons at any one time which means there wil be a few differences to how we manage the dining room until we are lifted to stage three restrictions, more information on these changes to come this afternoon once we have made our final decisions.

06.01.2022 With the school holidays upon us this weekend, I'm sure many of us are wondering what we can do and where we can go with all of the COVID-19 business. The answer? Go local, explore this great country of ours and give some love to some of the struggling small businesses around the country! Over this school holiday period we can't bring the rest of the state to you, but what we can do is focus on anything Aussie that we can! ... 04.01.2022 We would like to announce that we will be doing a delivery run to Cowaramup every Wednesday evening, however to make sure that everyone gets the freshest food possible we will need to ask for your co-operation with the collection of our frood on youtr side of things. We will have one run to Cowaramup leaving Vasse between 6:00 and 6:15pm for which we will have a strict cut off time of 4:30 on Wednesdays, this will allow us enough time to get in contact with everyone and organ...ise payment. For the actiual delivery of our food we ask if the wonderful people of Cowaramup would assist us by meeting our driver at Pioneer park, this will ensure that you recevie our food as fresh as possible. The delivery fee for this service will be $5 per order, which is down from the $10-15 that we would normally have to charge if we have available drivers to make the Cowaramup run. We are more than happy to start this run tomorrow the 22nd of April, please contact us, you can even order through our website, just place the order as a pickup and add in the notes that you want to add your order to the Wednesday Cowaramup delivery run.
