25.01.2022 NEWTOWN & CHILWELL FNC JUNIOR NETBALL TRIALS SEASON 2021 WINTER A reminder to all current juniors players that trials are starting this Saturday! Love to welcome back any of our Winter 2019, Summer 2019/20 players who may not have played during Covid too.... Any current Under 11 players, who are turning 11 by 31/12/20, you’ll move up and it’s time to trial for Under 13s. There is 3 trial dates and we require players attend all 3. Even players who are unable to trial due to injuries or availability need to register in order to ensure they are placed into a team for 2021. With 31 Junior teams and growing, our inclusive club is seeking interested people to apply. Whether you are an existing member of our club, looking for a change or elevation from a lower league club or feel your ready for the head coach’s role which may of eluded you in the past, please apply.... 16.01.2022 Today marks another significant step forward in our Return to Community Netball. Effective 11:59pm Sunday 22 November contact sport will return for adults, mea...ning senior netball competitions and programs can finally return. Outdoor venues will be limited to 500 people, with up to 50 people per space. Indoor venues can reopen and contact community sport can return at indoor venues for people 18 years and younger as well as adults. Participation and gathering limits will apply and will be dependent on the size and function of the venue. Associations wanting to start a competition at an indoor venue should consult with Netball Victoria and their venue manager to work through group size and venue capacity. 12.01.2022 WELL DONE TANNER! As we all know, one of our own in Tanner Bruhn was selected at pick 12 in the National Draft by the GWS Giants. Tanner being recruited in the draft is obviously a dream come true for him and his family, but also reward for his dedication and perseverance after a serious knee injury in 2019.... For everyone that has watched Tanner play over the years, and has seen him conduct himself around the club including coaching junior teams, knows this is well deserved. Tanner is currently spending the week with his new teammates at the GWS Giants, and found out he will be wearing number 5 in the upcoming season. His locker is between a couple of the guns of the competition, Toby Greene and Lachie Whitfield. Good luck for the year Tanner, we are all behind you.
