09.01.2022 CLUB CLASSICS MOMENT: Newtown has a long involvement with summer hockey, having hosted Geelong's wildly popular twilight competition at Lloyd Reserve since 1984. On one of those evenings when the car park was full, Newtown fullback John Muller made a strong defensive clearance over the sideline --- straight into somebody's windscreen!... Since then, not only have summer rules changed but senior summer games have also moved to Stead Park with suitably high fences.
