25.01.2022 Great start to training last Sunday, the girls all had some fun whilst we knuckled down with a focus on games to start at some stage in July. The main advice from coaches from last Sunday was to kick, handball or at least muck around with your footballs to get better touch before next Sunday. Further relaxing of regulation will happen at the end of June. Everyone is invited from the 10’s to 18’s to come along, although it is not compulsory under the current conditions, we are... expecting everyone to make a big effort to attend. We have 2 x Sundays at Hurst reserve in Douglas St on 14th & 21st, Training times U10’s & U12’s at 10-11am U15’s & U18’s 11.15-12.45pm. Be punctual, bring your own unique water bottle, no mouth guards. Plan a toilet stop at home before you leave for training, toilet will only be available for emergency. Check in when you arrive with the Covis Safety Person (Hi Vis), don’t jump the fence, come through the walk gate, we need to write down attendance and spray hands with sanitizer. The female committee is on the search for a couple of parents to take on the 10’s coaching, it may be a 10 week program so don’t be shy. We need at least 2 parents to assist on the side lines and observe training, clear simple guidelines will be explained to all upon arrival. We have had a medium response from parents so ensure you check in if we need help upon drop off. The plan is clear, it is just helpers required, 2 for each training group. Any questions, please contact the coaches below 12’s Dan 0422 805911 15’s Joe 0418 933869, 18’s Cam 0425 861697 Message from Craig, Female Coordinator & Junior Operations Manager 2020

23.01.2022 Hard times for everyone at the moment. We will be back bigger and stronger. Enjoy the show.

23.01.2022 Hi all. Today the was the last Sunday training session. As of this coming Wednesday 8th July, All Girls teams will be training at Elderslie Reserve from 4.30pm.... Thank you to everyone who attended over the last few weeks and abiding to all Covid - 19 Rules and Regulations.. A special thank you goes out to Craig Morrisey, Coaches and Team Managers from all teams who continue to provide a safe sporting environment for our EaGALS. It been a difficult year and it is effecting every club, some clubs won't be fielding teams due to low numbers. AFL Barwon have introduced a Type 2 permit which allows players to join our club for the 10 weeks of Female football then go back to their clubs without registration swapping. This is a great opportunity to keep Girls fit and happy. If you know of any girls that can't play at their club due to numbers and want to play this season. Please contact. Craig Morrissy. 0418 384 258. UNDER 18's. If you haven't been to training but think you would like to play this season. Please contact Under 18's coach Cam Thiele 0425 861 697. With round 1 starting on the 18th July fixtures will be released soon. JUMPERS: We are still short on some Footy jumpers from last year, please check your wardrobe, under your bed and return them to a training session. There's been times this year when most of us thought there was going to be no footy played this year. But with much effort put in, and a safe environment, we will be cheering the EaGALS on in 2 weeks from now. Keep safe. Go EaGALS 2020

21.01.2022 New Coach, New Team.....Open Age Female Football at the Eagles Hi to all our Club members and families of football & netball, It is with a level of excitement and anticipation that we announce our 2021 Female Football Open Age Women’s Football Coach, Simon Cavallo.... Simon comes with a vast knowledge of the Regional Female Football program, he has held leadership positions in local football clubs and has a massive level of football knowledge, energy & enthusiasm for our program into the future. We have been working with him for some time to ensure the direction now for our junior girls will be at Elderslie reserve as our girls grow into adults and play football for many years to come in the RED & BLACK, hopefully with some moving up to VFLW/AFLW in the future. Simon is currently contacting a vast numbers of females that have played for the Eagles in the past aswell as many others as we need to build our inaugural team, incorporating some of our girls moving up from our U/18’s for 2021. If anyone knows of any female athletes that are tired of their sport and would like to try their hand at football, now is the time to join the Eagles. SMS me and I can forward your contact to Simon. Shaun and the committee are very pleased with this appointment, we look forward to welcoming Simon when pre-season is to commence. Craig Morrissy Junior Operations Manager & Female sub committee member 2020

01.01.2022 President's Message Dear NCFNC Community This important message comes as per recent communications in relation to COVID-19 and the current health risk to our wider community.... At NCFNC, we have always felt that the health of everyone involved in our club is of paramount importance. This includes our Players, Player Families, Umpires, Coaches, Supporters, members and every Volunteer. At this point in time, as a club, we have made a decision to practice Social Distancing, and for the following week we have cancelled all club related activities including: Club Training All Junior and Senior Football and Netball. Practice Matches for the coming week - both Football and Netball. Cancel the use of all NCFNC Club Rooms and facilities including Gym, Thursday Night Meals, Bar, Club Office and Apparel. This decision will be reviewed in one week’s time considering all new evidence and professional recommendations that come to light. We did not come to this decision lightly, and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we navigate this time together. More than ever our great club will need your support, as we are still trying to assess the ongoing impact this will have on us. We are still in full preparation for the 2020 season with the expectation of competing and will work with AFL Barwon once we understand if there are any changes. We will maintain regular communication to all members. Thanks again for your understanding. Shaun McWilliam President Newtown & Chilwell Football Netball Club
