12.01.2022 Skier's thumb is a thing, as a few of my patients have recently found out, and it's good to minimise the risk. Skiers thumb is an injury to an important ligament of the thumb that helps you grasp and pinch. And you find out with a thumb injury that you normally use it for everything. Annoying and painful in the least, it can also be pretty serious requiring surgery. Prevention is better than cure, but appropriate assessment and treatment is essential. Music: Bensound.com

12.01.2022 Had fun at the Christmas fete on Saturday, thumb splints popular with the kids, and even had a splint for Carpal Tunnel for a grown up just to keep it interesting. Saw some splints still on at school pick up today.

12.01.2022 Most people have heard of someone with 'carpal tunnel', but there's often a bit of confusion as to what this means. If someone's being treated for CTS when they actually have another problem then obviously things don't go well. Hopefully here's a bit of clarity as to what Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is. Got to see those magic fingers up close. And he even knows the importance of doing thenar muscle strengthening for basal thumb OA!
