24.01.2022 WEEKEND RESULTS On Friday night the Championship 1 side wrapped up their season with a 4th win on the bounce defeating South East United 5-3 at Pembroke Park. Blayne Hudson and Monty Pilkington both score a brace while Evan Dixon also hit the back of the net. On Sunday, the Championship 2 side went down in a closely fought match against league winners Kingborough 1-0.... On Monday night, the Championship side battled away in a 1-1 draw with Olympia. Sam Leszczynski scored a cracking volley from outside the box, before a late equaliser meant the points were shared. 20.01.2022 FOTAK UNVEILED AS WHITE EAGLES MENS SENIOR MENS COACH New Town White Eagles Soccer Club today announced at Crowne Plaza Hobart, the appointment of Tommy Fotak as the Club's 2021 Southern Championship senior mens coach. Fotak will lead the Club into its 60th anniversary year alongside newly appointed senior assistant Adam Shackcloth.... A former White Eagles player, Fotak was most recently NPL coach at Hobart Zebras. He returns to football after an absence focused on family and the operation of a successful Tasmanian technology company. White Eagles president Grant Nutting explained, To have an individual of Tommy’s quality leading our Club into its 60th season is extremely exciting. Alongside his technical attributes, Tommy brings with him great character and his appointment is a significant step towards our club achieving great things in 2021 and beyond. Fotak said, I am really excited by the opportunity to build on the work that Dreamer (Andrew Leszczynski) and the coaching staff have done over the past seven years. Performances on and off the field demonstrate this is a Club on the rise and that is a credit to Grant and the committee and everyone involved at Eagles." "I'm honoured to be trusted with the responsibility to lead this group and the Club in their anniversary year." "I can't wait to get out on the track and get to work. I encourage anyone that wants to be part of the journey to come along and get involved however they can." 17.01.2022 REMAINING GAMES With all of our other teams finished for the year, only the Championship side remains in action, with two more games to play. Tonight, we travel down to Taroona (6 pm at Kelvedon Park not 7:00 at Lightwood as shown in the image) where a win could see us leapfrog the hosts into fourth position on the ladder.... The last game for the season is our rescheduled match against Hobart United next Wednesday, with the lights hopefully on match mode.

16.01.2022 GAMES THIS WEEKEND This Friday night marks our final Championship 1 match for the year as we look to continue our run of good form when we take on South East United at Pembroke Park. The Championship 2 boys wrap up their season against Kingborough at KGV on Sunday after a surprise 4-2 win against the same opponents midweek. Cameron Chladil, Mitchell Free, Luke Phillips and Monty Pilkington all hit the scoresheet and will be looking to finish on a high.... The Championship 6 went down 8-3 to University in their final game, with goals to Ben Coates, Sam Joughin and a collectors item for David Lee. On Monday night, the Championship team take on title contenders Olympia, after having their fixture moved from Saturday afternoon.
15.01.2022 2020 JAN ZURASZEK MEDAL AND AWARDS NIGHT RESULTS The 2020 Jan Zuraszek Medal and Awards Night was held on Saturday night as players and supporters attended Crowne Plaza Hobart to celebrate a fantastic season. In the Championship, captain Andy Clark won the 2020 Jan Zuraszek Medal for Best & Fairest Player, to join club legends Richard Leszczynski & Andrew Telega as a 4 time winner. Young defender Toby Butler had a breakout season collecting both the Most Consistent and Youth ...Player of the Year Awards. Sam Leszczynski took home his 6th consecutive Golden Boot. In the Championship 1. Blayne Hudson won the Best & Fairest in a tight count while also collecting the Golden Boot. Ronan Longden picked up the Most Consistent Award. Wills Mckay and Joe Fracalossi shared the Championship 2 Best & Fairest while the evergreen David Kruijver took home the Most Consistent. Monty Pilkington scored the Golden Boot. The Championship 6, Bogan Dora Medallist for Best & Fairest and Golden Boot winner was Ben Coates. The Plachta Presidents Award for service to the Club was awarded to Stevan Vernon, while the Spirytus Award was presented to Liam Brown, Adam Shackcloth & Andy Clark. 15.01.2022 GAMES THIS WEEKEND This Friday night we are back in action for the top and bottom 6 series in the Championship & Championship 1 leagues as we take on Clarence Zebras in Champ 1 and University in the Champ at KGV. The Championship 2 boys went down 4-0 to Olympia midweek but are backing up on the weekend, taking on Southern FC at KGV on Sunday.... The Championship 6 team are back after their bye, travelling to Lightwood Park to match up against Kingborough.

15.01.2022 WEDNESDAY NIGHT RESULTS Season 2020 finally drew to a close on Wednesday night as the Championship side signed off with a 4-1 win over third place finishers Hobart United, leapfrogging Taroona to finish 4th on the ladder. The match could not have started better for both Andrew G Leszczynski in his last game in charge as coach and skipper Andy Clark in his 300th senior game, when Callum Back scored in the opening minute. Back then smashed home a second to make it 2-0 just 10 m...inutes in. In the second half Jake Clamp unleashed a vicious shot from an acute angle to make it 3-0. United then pulled a goal back, before Sam Leszczynski sealed the win with a neat 1v1 finish.
14.01.2022 WEEKEND RESULTS On Friday night, the Championship team had a night to forget succumbing to a 8-0 defeat to ladder leaders University after an absolutely abysmal first half. In the Championship 1 however, a resurgence of form has seen back to back 5-0 wins, this time over Clarence Zebras. Blayne Hudson hit a hatrick, while Mark "Scuffinfenwa" Vernon and player-coach Adam Shackcloth rounded out the scoring.... Later in the day the Championship 1 team extended their winning run to three in a row with a 1-0 win over Metro, courtesy of a Luke Phillips goal.... On Friday night, the Championship 2 lads drew 3-3 with Phoenix. Callum Back put his groin troubles behind him with a double, while Hamish Moore also hit the scoresheet. 09.01.2022 FRIDAY NIGHT RESULTS In the Championship, the White Eagles defeated Kingborough Lions United Football Club 4-0 under lights at KGV. A remarkable 40 yard own goal put us 1-0 up at the break, before a dominant second half saw Ben Phillips finish from outside the area, then James Vernon seal the 3 points with a well taken goal. ... With virtually the last kick of the match Jack Martin made the most of a calamitous mixup at the back to break his 877 day goal drought. The Championship 1 side looked gone for all money at 2-0 down before the red hot Ronan Longden banged in two screamers to save a point. 07.01.2022 FINAL GAME FOR SENIOR COACH Congratulations to Andrew G Leszczynski who signed off his final senior game in charge with a 4-1 win over Hobart United. After previous success as a player and coach during the 80's & 90's, Leszczynski stepped in at a time of great need in 2016 off the back of two consecutive wooden spoons.... During his 5 years in the role, he placed his faith in youth, which will hold the Club in good stead in the years to come. On behalf of everyone at White Eagles, we thank Dreamer for his tireless efforts throughout. We truly couldn't have done it without you.

Revell will take charge of our first women's side since 2013 and will continue as club Technical Director which will enable the club to offer high-quality coaching for the newly formed Women’s program....
