25.01.2022 FIT FUN FRIDAY: Bomaderry Creek Walking Track Another one just a stones throw away from home. ... This path winds it’s way along Bomaderry Creek. There are several different paths you can take depending on how far you want to go. It’s always handy to check out the map at the start of the track to make sure you take the right path, because although there are signposts along the way it can still be a little tricky if you are unsure of which path to take. If you want to take the whole family along for the walk including dogs on leads then why not take advantage of the picnic area and either pack your own food or use the BBQ facilities provided. There are 4 option to take on this walk River Oak Crossing will take approximately 3 hours Norh Nowra to Creek will take approximately 2 hour Weir to Mossy Gully is a 1 hour walk Bernie Lookout. This can be included in the River Oak crossing or just on it’s own which is a half hour walk.

Nestled away in Kiama, take the time to appreciate this natural oasis and take a walk through the garden path. 17.01.2022 STOP WAITING! Especially At the end of the week we tend to say ‘I’ll start tomorrow or I’ll start on Monday Well I’ll be honest I sometimes even find myself saying the same thing. This can be for many different things, not just exercise or eating healthy, even things like washing the car, vacuuming the floor or cleaning the bathroom all fall under this category.... But seriously, Why do we wait? What does it actually accomplish? Even just the smallest change can make a difference right? For example, your favourite cup of tea doesn’t have to be total sugar free, just cut it back by half a teaspoon. Waiting does nothing to move us forward, if anything it gives us more time to talk ourselves out of it. Just the smallest action right now would be better than nothing at all. It’s hard to make changes. It’s so much easier to stay in our comfortable, predictable & familiar environment even if it means we aren’t truly happy. So why wait until tomorrow. Start today, start right now!!
16.01.2022 FIT FUN FRIDAY- Bombo Headland Quarry Park the car at Bombo Beach or take an easy walk from the railway station at Bombo. This is an old quarry which produced blue metal for many years but is now closed. The scenery is fantastic and you can wander around and watch the ocean smashing up against the rocks and sending spray way up in the air.... The floor of the quarry is a bit uneven so wear sensible shoes and enjoy doing a bit of rock-hopping! This is an internationally recognised geological site and is often used for photo shoots and even tv commercials because of its stunning backdrop. This is a great walk for the family, but be mindful that there are no fences guarding the cliffs so keep an eye on the kids. Definitely one to check out! #NewVisionFitness #FitFunFriday
16.01.2022 FIT FUN FRIDAY: Abrahams Bosom Reserve This walk starts at Abraham’s Bosom Reserve in Currarong and takes you to some pretty amazing remote beaches. The best part has to be Gosang’s Tunnel- this takes you through a cave on your hands and knees and spits you out at the soaring cliffs which give you an incredible view of the ocean.... There are multiple route options on this walk. The main circuit is called Coomies Walk and takes you around the headland, however there’s some great detours to take. The first is the shorter walk- Wreck Walk which takes you past Whale Point, Wilsons Beach and the 1928 shipwreck of the S.S.Merimbula. If you are looking to do a shorter walk, the Wreck Walk only takes about an hour and is great for kids. If you head along Coomies Walk you will be treated to many other great spots to explore, including Lobster Bay, Mermaids Inlet and Gosangs Tunnel. #NewVisionFitness #FitFunFriday

10.01.2022 THREE VIEWS WALKING TRACK This Kangaroo Valley walking track takes 3-4 hours and will take you along three cliff-edge viewing points, each with amazing views. Spend the day walking the easy 9.5 kilometre return track that follows the Brooks Plateau and Moolatoo Trig fire trails through open woodland and heath with lots of wildlife spotting to be had. There’s incredible views of Lake Yarrunga, Tallowa Dam and the Shoalhaven River and gorges, along with spectacular wildflo...wer glimpses in late winter and spring. The track is almost completely flat, so it’s suitable for all fitness levels. 04.01.2022 FIT FUN FRIDAY - Erith Coal Mine It does take a little time to drive here but Erith Coal Mine Track in Morton National Park at Bundanoon is definitely worth it! Park at Gambells Rest Campground and follow the Coal Mine Walking Track, or drive into the park and park at Erith Coal Mine track car park which is about 600 metres into the park on your right. If you do enter the park, its $8 for a full day. ... The trail from track head takes 30 mins - 1 hour depending on your pace and begins very easy as you make your way down to the Erith coal mine falls. Enjoy the birds, bugs and native animals. This path continues until you come to the top of the waterfall. To reach the mine you need to cross at the top of the falls over the stone steps. This takes you to a metal stairwell that you follow to the entrance of the mine. After heavy rain it can be harder to get to the other side so be prepared to get your shoes wet! Follow the metal steps down and you will reach the mine and lower down, the bottom of the waterfall. It’s a beautiful oasis on a warm day, you can then explore, or come back the way you came. #NewVisionFitness #FitFunFriday

02.01.2022 Thank you all for participating in our first 10 week turnaround program for 2021. For many of you this has become your new normal. I have had some amazingly dedicated members who have been participating in my program since day 1. That’s 4 years ago!! For others this has been your first time. When we try things for the first time we are never really sure of what to expect. It can be a tough journey, as getting your body used to an exercise routine can be daunting. The sorene...ss is never a nice feeling. But we soon realise that if we want things to change we ourselves need to change. We need to break old habits to form new ones. Again not easy. But changes won’t happen unless you make it happen. We start to make excuses for excuses. That may sound very confusing but it’s true. I also think we need to try and not be too hard on ourselves. Sometimes we need to take small breaks. To start fresh. Give yourself a second chance Make the changes real Our next round kicks off in 10 days. Are you ready to continue your fitness journey? Get back on the path to a fitter stronger healthier you?
