25.01.2022 Its not perfect conditions but it is unlikely to storm so get ready for race day

20.01.2022 Our first race on a Sunday proved popular even though it was Easter. We had 14 eager paddlers aiming to make amends for too many chocolate eggs in the morning take on the course in reverse on an outgoing tide. Dave set the only PB of the day, probably because he was being chased by young Marshall on another SUP. Morven took line honours in her first race for the club and it was great to see Gareth and Nicki back at Throsby Creek. A big thanks to Trevor and Mark for time keeping and Kaz for doing the BBQ. All the sausages were devoured in quick time. See you all on Sun 18 April for Race 12 Rego 2pm Race 3pm.

13.01.2022 Newy Paddlers held our annual event the Paddle 4 Good day last Sunday on the pristine waters of Throsby Creek. A great morning with a high tide and a little out flow from the recent rain, plus some fantastic weather ensured a successful event. As we all know these days cannot be held without the assistance of volunteers and the club wishes to thank those wonderful people that gave their time and expertise on the day. Also, a big thank you to Lake Mac SUP Club, Newcastle Outri...ggers, C-Kayak at Belmont, Hunter Valley Paddle Sports Club and Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club for their support on the day and of course the Newy Crew of The Orange Army. With over 30 boats and graded start times the 10klm and 5klm events were well contested and some great racing was had on the day all with competitive yet, respectful attitudes amongst the fleet. We had everything from ski’s, doubles, K-1’s, SUP’s, Outriggers, Sea Kayaks, Rec Craft and the odd dog joining in plus a multitude of age groups participating. The proceeds of the day go to Trish’s House which supports women and their families that have experienced Domestic Violence. The club has supported this cause for a number of years now and once again a big thank you to our members and the McCloy Group for their very, very, generous donation. So how much did we raise I hear you say? Well, an astounding $6525 !!!!!!! so far. How groovy is that. Still time to donate as we will be transferring the monies in the next week go to our bank account, all donations are greatly appreciated. Newy Paddlers BSB 637000 AC 721363929 Ref: P4G

04.01.2022 Paddle 4 Good Day (Sunday 28th of March) is almost upon us!! Why not bring the kiddies down to watch the event or maybe meet some of the local wildlife.......we all know that one kid don't we, (see picture). Come along and help Newy Paddlers with their annual community event. A great morning garunteed as the Weather Gods have had a sacrifice, (see picture), to ensure the precipitation will cease and the dawn shall bring forth rays of sunshine. Tell your friends, bring your fa...mily, drag along a random person just for the fun of it. Sunday the 28th is the day to mark in your "must things to do" book. Rego open at 8am for a 9am kick off. All funds raised go to Trish's House to support women who have experienced domestic violence. $10 entry fee (or a bit more if feeling groovy on the day) allows you that warm and fuzzy feeling when you are helping others, or feeding the local wildlife (See picture). For further info about the event or if you require more info on Throsby Creek Aquatic Animals and Children (See picture) contact Dazza on 0405180986.

02.01.2022 Hi Friends and Followers, As many of us wind up what has hopefully been a great Christmas and New Year break with family in the abundance, we thought it was a good opportunity to remind everyone of the great night we had in the first of our doubles events. This week see's a return to Wednesday night MCC events for 2021 and our fingers are crossed that the weather gods see it fit to let the Sun shine down on us. Attached are a few great pics from the doubles race curtesy of Darren Pateman.
