25.01.2022 Information about fireworks in Australia and fundraising. Well said Andrew :) #NewYearsEveAssociation
25.01.2022 Important information has been received by Mission Beach News that is a serious public concern in the upcoming Cassowary Coast Regional Council elections, that ...is in the communities best interest to know the information. Division 3 candidate Hilary Watson has been publicly claiming that Mrs Watson was involved with the New Year's Eve fireworks last year, other information attained by Mission Beach News states Mrs Watson as a co-host on the official event page for the New Year's Eve fireworks in Mission Beach last year. Information attained by MBN is that a deliberate falsehood was made in order to take over the New Year's Eve fireworks contract already in place by the New Years Eve Association. Craig Tatnell from Above Ground Zero Fireworks was directly contacted by Mrs Watson in the first instance in November 2019, raising one of many concerns that the New Years Eve Association (NYEA) was never registered/approved to raise funding for the community New Year's Eve fireworks event. Registration in order to fundraise in Queensland falls under the Collections Act 1966 (the Act) for a charitable or community purpose to seek donations from the public. Craig Tatnell made the claim to end the contract on the 14/11/2019 to the NYEA that they had incontrovertible evidence from government agencies, that the NYEA was not registered to raise funds nor could directly approach likely donors to seek any funding. This claim is a deliberate falsehood given the attached information attained by Mission Beach News from the office of the Attorney-General, Minister for Justice, Leader of the House. The Honourable Yvette D'Ath for Redcliffe had requested her Chief of Staff, James Sullivan, to respond on her behalf on a formal request for the Minister to determine, if community fireworks was a purpose to seek funds and that required approval, under certain provisions of the Collections Act 1966. The information written on the 20/12/2019 by the Ministers office, that is the final say on this matter under certain provisions of the Act. This information from the Ministers office has completely given incontrovertible evidence that the claim the NYEA must be registered is deliberately false and completely dishonest as they had claimed their proof was directly from the government. On the 5th of December 2019 Craig Tatnell had made a public comment on a post on his business Facebook page. "Actually It worked a treat! Don’t worry it was very well thought out in close consultation with others and the problem seems to be resolved" Craig Tatnell A honest opinion by any reasonable person would mean Hilary Watson was one of these other people, when it was very well thought out in close consultation with others, claiming information that is a deliberate falsehood and completely dishonest. Mission Beach News reached out to Hilary Watson yesterday to give Mrs Watson an opportunity for a comment on the record regarding this matter, no reply has been received to date. The above information is not an isolated matter in dishonest conduct & false claims with the information attained by Mission Beach News, that will be reported in due course to the public, connected to the New Year's Eve event last year. The dishonest conduct also includes the libellous story by Sean Dent from the Cassowary Coast Independent News on the 14/11/2019 who claimed key information had came from Craig Tatnell, who has now been exposed to the public as one of the people in the above deliberately false claims. Sean Dent has been requested to prove his story on the 14/11/2019 more than once and has failed to provide any proof to any of the story claims to date. This information is in the best interest of the community to know that a candidate running for councillor, who is claiming to be honest and have integrity on her official election page Hilary Watson - 2020 Div. 3 Candidate - Cassowary Coast Regional Council Read all the facts concerning this whole matter https://facts.nyea.net #MissionNews #MissionBeachQLD #DishonestConduct - Shane Knuth - Bob Katter - Kate Jones - Annastacia Palaszczuk MP
25.01.2022 The New Years Eve Association is very excited to inform the Cassowary Coast community, after a large amount of hard work in making our first event happen, that ...the associations first event will be happening in Mission Beach at the end of this year to bring in 2020. On NYE 2020 at the end of this year, the Cassowary Coast community will be able to celebrate the new year with a community NYE fireworks display in Mission Beach. The fireworks display will be done from a barge just off the beach near the Mission Beach Village Shops (Village Green) conducted by a company to be released very soon to the public. Founder Rodney Young said "Years of planning has gone into developing the New Years Eve Association events as free community events on new years eve" "Our events are designed for small communities to increase business and tourism for that area and give community members something to remember" "The association is a not for profit group set up to get the most benefit for the communities where events happen" "In coming years, a big part of the associations free community events will not only be fireworks to bring in the new year, we will also have live entertainment to include major artists and bands where a small community could never dream of having these artists and bands in their community for new years eve" "While Mission Beach will be the associations first ongoing event, we plan to have a number of locations around Australia in small communities that would be unable to have the resources in planning and holding events for new years eve" NYE 2020 in Mission Beach is set to start a new great ongoing event within the Cassowary Coast region and create tourism for the region at a very slow time of the year for most businesses, including keeping local people in the area than having to travel to Cairns or Townsville for something to do on NYE while spending money outside of our great region. With the great amount of beach area from Clump Point (Mission Beach) to the Southern point of Wongaling Beach, people will have no issue in finding a place to view the fireworks display and the association is hoping for a large amount of people in the Cassowary Coast region for a great show. This event will be made possible from great local businesses and community members in our region to help fund the event. The more that the community supports the event, the more benefit that the community will get from the events. The association is also seeking people that wish to be part of any planning of the event and any ideas from the Cassowary Coast community members and groups to make the event even better for the communities benefit. To keep up with details about NYE 2020 follow the New Years Eve Association page and join the New Years Eve - Mission Beach, Queensland, Australia event page. We will see you down on the beach for a great show to bring in 2020. 10.01.2022 After advice from a number of sources, our association wish to advise the community at this point in time, no outdoor fireworks permits are being issued while ...Queensland is currently under a State Of Fire Emergency. Cassowary Coast Regional Council is one of the 42 council area's that are currently under a State Of Fire Emergency declared by the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services - QFES As there is no ending date for the State Of Fire Emergency that is known, the association will be working with the authorities in working towards the best outcome for the safety of the community, over any other matter in holding the planned NYE 2020 fireworks for the community. The community will be updated to any changes that will allow any outdoor fireworks permits to be issued, however the safety of the community in the current fire crisis takes the most pressing concern over any NYE 2020 fireworks in Mission Beach, this could mean that no fireworks happen in any planning for NYE 2020 in the Cassowary Coast region. Keep updated on the New Years Eve Association page for the current details and the association thanks you for understanding on this very important issue. #NewYearsEveAssociation #MissionBeachQLD #NYE #NYE2020
