04.01.2022 STUDY SHOWS: Chemicals in household cleaning products are as dangerous to health as smoking 20 cigarettes a day. It’s well known that cigarettes cause cancer be...cause of the toxic ingredients inside the cigarette. But now, a recent study shows that household cleaning products, containing similar chemicals, are equally as bad for your health. The study showed that the regular use of cleaning sprays resulted in seriously impaired lung health on par with smoking a pack of cigarettes EVERY DAY. The research monitored more than 6,000 people over a 20-year-period who used chemicals cleaning products daily in their houses and offices. It found significant health problems after long-term use of these products. According to the American Centre for Disease Control (CDC), the FOURTH leading cause of death in the United States is chronic respiratory disease. Maybe it’s not just cigarettes responsible for these deaths, but the synthetic and toxic chemicals that we breathe in from multiple sources.
