25.01.2022 Home from home. Here at Bundamba’s Skateaway rink, located behind Bunnings on Agnes St. NeXgen Artistic Roller sorts Club holds its Saturday morning club training time. From 06.30 am until 09.00 am. The clubs selection of highly motivated accredited coaches are available for one on one coaching sessions with their skaters. All three disciplines are practiced in that time span and all involved work well and hard to achieve the best results. From 09.00am until 09.30 am the club... has a general lesson for both developmental and advanced skaters, the purpose of this is to ensure that the basics are not left behind, or allowed to become too sloppy. Developmental skaters, of all ages, are put through their paces by Robert Passlow and Melanie Harrison, two dedicated coaches that treat all who are in their group with all due respect, while still allowing for fun too, this is very popular and eagerly looked forward to by the enthusiastic participants. The Advanced group of skaters are run through their paces by the remainder of the clubs redoubtable accredited coaches and ‘force fed’ (Ha ha not really) on the spot tuition and corrections to any budding bad habits by our hawk eyed coaching team members. No tension is evident, as all are eager either to teach or to learn. Immediately after the training session, many of our people, both coaches and skaters will work on to assist the rink with the Star Class learn to skate session. As we like to reward good effort with both trust and participation within the clubs normal regimen, this is thought of as a privilege by our younger skaters. Our skaters are taught to be polite and respectful when assisting thus and by their presence among raw beginners, allow for as much one on one assistance as possible for newcomers and most children react well to their peers in age who can and will help them. NeXgen and Skateaway work hand in hand to make rollerskating enjoyable in our Bundamba location.
