25.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day

25.01.2022 We have recently added our own REDcycle soft plastics bin to the centre to aid and extend in our sustainability and to encourage recycling soft plastics from within the centre. We do welcome any of our families to bring in their soft plastics and place in the bin and we can take these to Woolworths or Coles for you. The REDcycle program does not extend to businesses, schools or daycares but does encourage to participate in own collection and to deposit these at your local Woolworths or Coles. For more information about this recycling initiative you can check out www.redcycle.net.au

16.01.2022 New feedback question....

15.01.2022 Kindy worm interest extension.... Following on from feeding the worm food scraps, our Kindy children have developed an avid interest for worms. Jesse set up an investigative area of worms (spaghetti) and soil. The children have been busy mixing the worms into the soil, using tweezers to pick them up and magnifying glasses to get a better look Wonder where this interest will lead next?

14.01.2022 Sustainability in our Kindy Room. Today our Kindy children picked some parsley from their gardens for cooking with and recycled morning tea scraps for the worms to feast on! They have a reminder tomorrow to check for worm wee to put back into the gardens Learning about being sustainable, how we garden and the process of where our food comes from has been an ongoing interest for our Kindy children and these are just two examples of how sustainability as a whole is used t...hroughout the service. Embedding these practices is just a small way we can help our environment and encourage the next generation to do the same

14.01.2022 Every Friday our Pre-Kindy One Room head to our local playground for a park play excursion. Today they saw some very cool machinery which was very interesting to watch and they also stopped to refuel with a healthy green hulk juice from Threepence Cafe! It really is Friday FunDay!

Our fresh food and meat is sourced through wholesale and local suppliers. Our fruit and vegetables are supplied through InSeason on Walcott Wholesalers and our meat through Malone's Quality Meats. We love to support small and local businesses that have fantastic products and businesses that supported and supplied us during Covid-19.
