23.01.2022 Next recently handed over the six level, four Star Green Star Self storage facility for Storage King in Pymble! The self storage facility for Storage King included part demolition of the existing building, retention of the existing warehouse structure and slab as well as the addition of two new levels. The new six level facility accommodates 12,000sqm of internal storage space, with three hundred and thirty three self-storage units of various configurations and size. The seco...nd level of the building was tenanted, this proved challenging logistically and required Next to sequence works to allow the business to remain operational during construction. The Next Storage King Pymble team recently welcomed their co-workers for a socially distanced site tour of the project as it approached handover. The company gathered for an overview of the project progress from our site team, and was briefed by Next CEO, Joseph Di Girolamo on our fourth quarter results for FY20. Joseph highlighted Next’s key achievements over the last quarter. Despite the uncertain economic landscape due to the coronavirus crisis, Next have continued to deliver our projects whilst ensuring our staff and visitors to our site’s safety and wellbeing. The Next team were further briefed on the FY21 business plan, noting Next’s strong position with a secured forward pipeline of work through to 2023 in Next’s specialised sectors being Aged Care, Student Accommodation, Hotels and Leisure precincts and future projects currently being negotiated and in planning to commence following completion of the current work in hand. The quality of the project delivered is a testament to the continued hard work and dedication of the team involved in bringing the project to completion and showcases Next’s capability in building collaboratively in live environments. 22.01.2022 Next delivers iconic restaurant ‘XOPP by Golden Century’ within landmark building ‘The Exchange’ at Darling Square The restaurant is located on the mezzanine level of the Lend Lease built 6 storey marvel, The Exchange, which is instantly recognizable with its circular façade wrapped in 20km of curved timber. In collaboration with client The Golden Century Group we have delivered an exciting restaurant fitout providing a unique dining experience for patrons. The design inten...t for the circular 160-seat restaurant is a traditional Cantonese style with a contemporary twist. We were proud to work with Golden Century, a celebrated Sydney institution who have been operating for 30 years, said Next CEO Joseph Di Girolamo. Extensive design coordination was required to achieve the client’s vision. Intricate features include curved walls, custom joinery, a black Barrisol ceiling with light diffusers, tailor-made floral light fittings and brightly coloured loose furniture creating an eccentric modern Asian meets industrial space. The circular design of ‘The Exchange’ building, proved challenging as all walls, joinery and stainless steel benches had a slight curve and required precise installation. Next managed works on 24 hour shifts, working in with base building contractor, Lendlease and surrounding tenancies. The fitout works were undertaken in a complex live environment, with surrounding tenancies also undergoing refurbishment and fitout works and opening for business. All noisy works were undertaken out of hours to minimise the disruption to tenants and occupants of the building. 15.01.2022 Next Wins MBA NSW Excellence in Housing Award! Next are proud to announce that we have won the Master Builders Association NSW Excellence in Housing Award in ‘Home Units $400,000 - $600,000’ category. The Hensley is a mixed use development located on the corner of Bayswater Rd and Ward Ave, Potts Point. The awards showcase construction excellence, rewarding quality, innovation and outstanding workmanship. The project presented many challenges including restricted access due t...o its location, the close proximity of rail corridor which runs under the basement carpark, whilst also retaining an existing heritage façade, which is incorporated into the new development. "The challenges Next experienced were the tight, corner block site, which had limited access for material handling and storage. Even more challenging was mitigating traffic disruptions to this busy neighbourhood with strict traffic management cycles," stated the Judges, who analyse quality of construction, design challenges, use of materials, value for money and innovation. The MBA award recognises Next’s expertise in delivering high-end accommodation projects situated in the CBD. The project was approved by the City of Sydney Council through a Design Excellence Award scheme. Our strategy and approach to the project was to ensure the Architectural details were coordinated and resolved to deliver the Architect’s vision, whilst recognising and developing innovative solutions to achieve the design intent in liaison with our Client, Roxy-Pacific and internationally renowned Architects, Woods Bagot. The building coexists harmoniously with the surrounding heritage architecture, whilst behind its historic façade, delivering a striking contemporary structure incorporating face brick, steel and glass facade. The accommodation is mostly oriented northeast with views to the water at Rushcutters Bay over the city skyline. "We are so proud of the Next team and the project stakeholders who worked hard to deliver the project", said Next’s CEO, Joseph Di Girolamo, "The Hensley is an exceptional building showcasing our business ethos of building collaboratively with our clients, consultants and subcontractors". The judges were impressed with the "quality of finish, attention to detail and the cordial relationship that still exists between the owner, builder and building manager." 03.01.2022 Next nears completion of Storage King Facility in Pymble! Next are fast approaching completion of our six level, four Star Green Star Self storage facility for Storage King in Pymble. The storage facility is comprised of 12,000sqm of internal storage space and is in the final stages of fit-off in conjunction with the completion of the external Public Domain works.... Next were engaged to design and construct the Storage King facility, which features self-storage units of various configurations and size, new retail space with offices, meeting rooms, store rooms, kitchenette and accessible amenities. Works to the facility were undertaken within a live environment, with the second level of part of the existing building occupied by a tenant. This required ongoing communication and effective sequencing of works to enable the business to remain operational during construction with disruptive works undertaken out of hours. The site team are working with our client and supply chain to ensure this facility is handed over defect free and ready for occupation in the coming weeks. #Next #StorageKing #Pymble #NextConstructions #precastpanels #liveenvironment #design #construct #building #construction #Sydney #BuildingCollaboratively

02.01.2022 MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT GAINS MOMENTUM The Hensley residential development in Potts Point is moving ahead apace with more than 1000 cubic metres of concrete being poured over the past three weeks. This first phase of construction has seen the completion of the basement slab, on-ground floor, first suspended deck and floor levels 1 and 2.... With limited access to the site, because of the boundary to boundary construction, the project team has strategically planned and coordinated each concrete pour. A commercial tenancy will be located on the ground floor. http://nextgrp.com.au//living/113-the-hensley,-potts-point #roxy-pacificaustralia #nextliving #mixedusedevelopment #mixeduseresidentialdevelopment #residentialdevelopment #luxuryapartments #woodsbagot #architecture #architect #commercial #residential #commercialdevelopment #residentialproject #sustainability#apartments #building #builder #developer #commercialtenancy #woodsbagot #artdeco #heritage #heritagedevelopment #designandconstruct #D&C #designandconstruction #heritagearchitecture#construction #interiors #detail #design #buildings #living
