16.01.2022 Next Gen Karting team results for Lismore Hot Shots Meeting. Tag R/H - Brett Shailes made a strong debut in the Next Gen Energy Space chassis. Qualifying on pole and going on the win each heat and the final in commanding fashion, waiting on word if he in fact broke the lap record! We have now proven this chassis to be a winner in tag or tag restricted - light or heavy! ... JNL - Jakob Scott with juniors playing the supporting role to the seniors today, random grid starts were on the menu. After working his way through traffic in the opening heats Jakob would start the final from P3, Jakob showed us all again that he never gives up after a tough few opening laps in the final he came home in P2. Well done to both our drivers today and the support crews. #fullgas #nextgenkarting #62 #energycorse

14.01.2022 Next Gen Karting has another successful year at the Lismore Kart Club hot shots meeting, taking the win in both tag restricted light and heavy with the 2 largest fields of the day Next Gen proved again why the Energy kart is the chassis to have. Tag Rest Light - Shane Petersen made the trip north worth while with a dominant display throughout the whole day, aboard his new Energy Kinetic chassis Shane took P1 in qualifying followed with P1 in all heats and the final. Shane c...ontinues to prove age is just a number! An integral part of our team with his cool, calm and calculated approach to racing on and off the track. Andrew Mcdougall what can we say the out and out biggest improver of the weekend Andrew finished a strong 4th in the final, Andrew is starting to find his grove and we couldn’t be prouder. Tag Rest Heavy - Brett Shailes making it back to back win’s in the class. Brett didn’t have it all his own way tho and was made to rue his poor qualifying as he battled his way to heat results of 3,1,3. The final Brett used his experience and race craft to make the move of the day on the last lap to take the win for another year. Brett credits the win to the ease of set up and drivability of the Energy Kinetic chassis after coming into the meeting with a lack of seat time. Brett and the Next Gen team would like to say a huge thank you to Kerry Howe for his kindness in loaning Brett his chassis for the weekend Kerry this win is for you. Junior Performance- Jakob Scott with his consistent result again taking a comfortable 2nd for the day in junior performance. With Jakob growing it was time to step up from a 101 chassis to a 104 Energy Space chassis just a couple of days before the meeting adapting to a new make and size in kart couldn’t even slow this young man down. We are certain with further testing that Jakob will be ready to take wins locally and inter state as soon as he can travel again. Well done buddy. Next Gen Karting isn’t just a team and business it’s a family and like every family there is always a support network. We couldn’t do what we do without the help of a few. Keith(Kiwi)Kim Shailes not only our father who introduced us to this sport but with his many years of knowledge he is always willing to help anyone out. Richie McLeod a long time friend of the family and mentor to Brett in his younger years, Richie continues to impart his Karting wisdom from years of experience here in Aus and internationally onto the team. Thank you to all our team and customers for the continued support. Cheers Jarrad Shaq's Speedway Pics Kellie

Well done Jack and thank you for showing the team how to hold your head high during the most challenging circumstances. Tag 125 Heavy - Brett Shailes after overcoming a few hurdles during practice Brett moved forward through qualifying and each race to finish a great 4th place on track and later drop to 6th from a drop down penalty, considering this was his 3rd race in 17years proving to a lot of people what we have always known that he can drive well. P.S drop down bumpers weren’t around back then .
