22.01.2022 Tonight Councillors will vote on an increase to their remuneration. We will hear debate that the role of a Councillor is underpaid and the allowance we receive doesn’t cover the hours worked. I agree with this statement but don’t agree with increasing the allowance for the below reasons: 1, Being an elected Councillor is privilege and it’s a role you don’t do for the money 2, COVID 19 has placed huge financial pressures on the community 3, We should be setting an example for... the community who are struggling with down turn in their businesses or lost their jobs by not supporting an increase during this time. 4, When we joined in 2016 we voted on our remuneration for 4 years we only received a 5th year due to COVID impacts so we should be happy with current remuneration for the extra year not giving ourselves an increase for it. Please share your thoughts with all Councillors today before the vote: [email protected]

21.01.2022 How does a zero increase in fees and charges sound? To help you during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we're proposing to freeze all charges at their current rate. Read our draft budget and plan and share your feedback on our website: https://bit.ly/2W47THR

16.01.2022 Have a Merry Wagga Christmas..

14.01.2022 I have put a video together to address the media and commentary you might have read in The Daily Advertiser. I am resigning from the majority of my committee’s to prove a point that council needs to change to allow greater diversity or you will get the same elected Councillors again. Attacks from other councillors will only hinder and stop people running not encourage. Majority of our community work for someone else we are not self employed or retired. Why should the majority then be forced to be represented by the minority? Thanks for your support over this time, and please share video to help get my side out..

13.01.2022 Please see attached my councillor column for this week. This is a resource we can use to share our thoughts with the community. Unfortunately this week I had to use it again to call out behaviours of others within council. To use a rate payer funded resource for political gain is unacceptable in my opinion. We need to work with other levels of government not fight with them. This is why it’s my strong belief that political parties shouldn’t be in local government.

13.01.2022 GREENS BLOCK WAGGA HISTORY MOTION My motion to protect historic names in Wagga was blocked by a single Greens NSW member, Abigail Boyd. The members of NSW L...abor who were present did not object. Do the Wagga Labor members Dan Hayes- Wagga Wagga City Councillor and Vanessa Keenan back their State Parliamentary colleagues in supporting my motion?

12.01.2022 In this weeks Council meeting I have put forward a notice of motion calling for a review of our current policy, an independent review of the leaking of information and that council writes a letter to minister expressing disappointment in the lack action from the office of local government. Being an elected Councillor is a privilege and we need to ensure that we act with integrity to work for our community.

10.01.2022 Great to see such an iconic Wagga landmark being put back in place.. Thanks Katrina Riley allowing me to sharing your video..

07.01.2022 Wishing Local Wiradjuri Elder, Aunty Isabel Reid the best of luck in her nomination on Senior Citizen of the year.. #AusoftheYear

04.01.2022 I contacted the Mayor and General manager earlier tonight and asked for Wagga to reach out to the Melbourne Storm, I believe that our city would be a perfect base for them.

03.01.2022 Proud to be apart of this organisation..

02.01.2022 A beautiful afternoon in Wagga for the Group 9 Rugby League Grand Final. Gundagai or Tumut?

01.01.2022 A very sad day today with Wagga City Council announcing to withdraw Family Day Care Services license. Those who have known myself all my life will know that Family Day Care has played a big part in my life. I was born into Family Day Care as my mother was a career. I grew up with many different children from many different families, some I still keep in contact with today. My mum was with Family Day care until the day she passed away over 20 years spent with them. It was a tough decision to make, I feel for all educators and families that this decision has impacted. I hope you are able to sign with another service provider and I am here if you need help with this please reach out..
