07.01.2022 Hi everyone, Lauren, your Women's Health Physio here. I've posted a bit lately about birth trauma. Sometimes our labour and birthing experience doesn't go to plan. Whilst it is true, that sometimes there are things that are out of our control, pregnancy is an important time to think about how you can reduce your risk of peroneal trauma. Here's a great, short, video from birthtrauma.org.au that I encourage pregnant mamma's watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pd0F1JrrV0... It is never too early to start the conversation about how to look after your pelvic health during and after pregnancy. I was shocked recently to meet a young women who was 27 weeks pregnant who had not yet had any discussions with her midwife or Obstetrician about pelvic floor health. If you would like to educate yourself further please do not hesitate to book in with me!

05.01.2022 Vacuuming is one of the more common occupational performance problems we hear about from people who have persistent pain (this includes stress, injury, illness ...and fatigue). Seriously! It is one of the top reported problems people experience. Other's being hanging washing out, loading the dishwasher and cleaning the bath. Both stopping an activity or pushing through the pain to finish the job feeds the pain cycle. Want to find out more? Next Wave Occupational Therapists and physiotherapists can help. A comprehensive assessment gives us time to get to the heart of your problem and make a really targeted plan with you. Addressing the underlying cause(s) of your pain and setting goals based on what you need, are expected to do and want to to do in life. #Physiotherapy #PhysioExerciseRehabilitation #StrengthTraining #SportspHysio #WomensHealth #ManualTherapy #Acupuncture #Pain #INjuryManagement #OccupationalTherapy #FocusedPsychologicalTherapy #MyoFascialTherapy #Massage #PainManagement #ChronicPain #MentalHealth #Acupressure #Naturopathy #herbalMedicine #nutrtionalAdvice #MoveThinkFeelAlive #Reshaping Lives See more
