25.01.2022 I take my hat off to you Stan Grant. You have single handed made the best speech of the decade around this subject. It's sad to think that Stan can have these experience in our life time. We all need to wake up and accept the wrongs of the past, forgive and forge a strong united nation including our indigenous peoples and all others, which are lucky enough to call Australia home.

23.01.2022 2015 Was A Breakthrough Year For Green Energy. Australia & Canada were once terrible twins when it came to climate action - recalcitrant & hopelessly addicted to fossil fuels. The winds of change have recently swept through Canada however as it embraces the jobs & investment that the inevitable transition to clean energy brings. While Malcolm Turnbull talks of agility & innovation the rhetoric's yet to be matched by action. We’ll be thinking of you on this ANZAC Day. Your ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. The Ode of Remembrance is ... "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. Lest We Forget!" We also remember the fallen of our former enemies, whom we may now consider, as our friends and colleagues. War is ultimately senseless. We pray that we remember the mistakes of the past, and shall we never repeat them again.

20.01.2022 Baby, it’s Cold Outside? But What a Difference a Good Window Makes! This is the same for Hot & Cold climates. This insightful article is great reading. Whilst the northern parts of the USA have been absolutely freezing this past few months, here in Australia, we have been sweltering through possibly our hottest Summer on record. The laws of physics state that, "Heat attracts to Cold".... When it's cold outside, any heating load that is applied to a house is instantly attracted to the windows. Unless they are high performance Double Glazed windows, this energy is lost through them to the outside. Likewise when it's is hot outside, any Airconditioning that you do in the house will be like fighting a losing battle if you have single glazed windows. The minute you turn the air conditioning off, physics will take over, trying to replace that cold air that you have spent the past hours pumping into the house at great expense, with the warm air that is outside. 05.01.2022 Dr. Helen Sanders of Technoform North America spoke at Zak World of Façades in Auckland yesterday on behalf of Technoform Australia & New Zealand. Her presentat...ion on the "Thermal Impact On Facades - Spec The Edge" was excellent & got the 400+ attendees really thinking about the edge performance of their glazing in all forms of buildings & facades. Helen captivated the audience with numerous fact-filled slides which really showed the dramatic impact the edge actually has on glazing performance. The one takeaway from Helen's presentation is, forget the COG (Centre of Glass) & really focus on the edge & the frame in which you are putting your high-performance glazing.
