25.01.2022 Catch Miss Katie’s little artists in clay mode. Warakurna.

23.01.2022 Art hotspot at Warakurna campus this week.

22.01.2022 What a productive 2 days at Mantamaru (Jameson) campus. Lots of smiles and experimenting with paint. Some paintings on canvas of local country and plants, and a little bit of theatre. Will have to do some more photography with these students, they really know how to strike a pose.

21.01.2022 Just a sample of some of the clay work that has been happening in Ngaanyatjarra Lands School this year.

17.01.2022 Thank you Miss Janet for finishing off the framing for Wanarn students’ artwork. They look stunning.

10.01.2022 Our Lands’ students have kicked off the 2020 art program by exploring clay using the slab technique. There are still lots of campuses to visit, but what a great start. In the zone!

08.01.2022 Congratulations to Warakurna high school student Savahanna and her grandmother Polly on completion of this exquisite commissioned painting for the Police Academy in Joondalup, Perth. It represents Warakurna’s local Tjukurrpa of the Parrot Men and Seven Sisters stories and the route of where people travelled in the past. Also shown is how it has changed since white man’s arrival with Giles weather station, roadhouse, community and Great Central Road included. You can also see local bush foods and waterholes. The coloured patches show how the land is managed using mosaic burning practices. Warakurna proudly represented in Perth. Wonderful!

06.01.2022 Wingellina/Irrunytju campus high school students really jumped into the landscape painting today, as well as trying some roller paint blending practise. So much talent right there.

03.01.2022 Miss Janet’s class at Wanarn campus has been studying poetry this term. This is a book they made based on a favourite Australian song. Delightful!

02.01.2022 Wonderful idea Warakurna high school teachers.
