13.01.2022 The Ngaanyatjarra Council would like to welcome aboard Quentin von Stieglitz as the new Sports Development Co-odinator. Quentin has come to us from Tasmania aft...er years of sports administration and coaching experience as well as having facility services background. He has played many seasons of cricket and likes all sports he follows and plays AFL and supports the Richmond Football Club. His favourite Richmond player was Jim Jess. Quentin grew up in a rural community and believes sport in rural and remote areas is important. Sport is the fabric that brings communities together in good and bad times as it’s a vehicle for change as well as it teaches children and adults so many skills that the classroom cannot teach - teamwork, resilience, problem solving, aside from that it is important for health and as communities, this is vitally important for physical and mental wellbeing, he said. Quentin also has some great initiatives for the up and coming Sports Roster for 2021, he will be in community over the next couple of weeks so if you see him say hello and talk sport !!
