22.01.2022 Great article with Terri Janke talking about Indigenous IP Law and educating the rest of the world about our community and cultural IP and how it should understood and handled/not be exploited. So great to see Terri and Co pushing the message of Indigenous Intellectual Property rights further and making great inroads for our people, communities and businesses. Definitely still a lot to be done, but Terri is making a strong mark in this space and inspiring others inside and outside our community to continue making progress. Well done Terri Janke and Co! https://www.mybusiness.com.au//6559-call-for-new-ip-protec #IndigenousIP #IndigenousKnowledges #IndigenousBusiness

18.01.2022 To grow and strengthen the Indigenous economy, it is important that we work together with corporate Australia to build meaningful and lasting relationships that achieve shared values and outcomes. The critical component here is how we strive for outcomes, not just outputs. We encourage corporate Australia to make further in-roads in engaging Indigenous businesses and taking targeted action to support the growing Indigenous business sector. 10.01.2022 We're interested in getting people's thoughts on the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) which was established in 2015. We're supporters of the IPP initiative but also believe that there is a lot of room for improvement. For a few years we have been highlighting that the IPP targets are overinflated and create an artificial economy that puts pressure on the Indigenous business sector and then also opens the door to 'black-cladding'. We believe that the IPP is an opportunity t...o contribute significantly to the growth and sustainability of the Indigenous economy but we have to handle this in a structured and thorough manner, which, in our opinion, involves allowing the Indigenous business sector and IPP to grow side-by-side. Let us know how you think the IPP can better impact the Indigenous business sector and our community? #IndigenousBusiness #IndigenousEconomy #Sustainability https://www.abc.net.au//indigenous-businesses-fac/11790270 See more
