16.01.2022 Ngalla Maya I am so Happy and Proud of this young Noongar man Corey Winmar Hayden at the airport about to board the plane for his new FIFO role not only is this a job for him but Corey is doing a Mechanical Aircon Technician Trainee-ship where after four years he will also have a Trade under his belt this is Skilling him up on site whilst he works which i think is so Deadly and i wish that more companies did this with all our young Aboriginal men so they too can be Trades Persons in the industry much love and respect Corey you deserve this as you are a very respectful young man and i wish you all the best for your future unk.

13.01.2022 Ngalla Maya this is one of our young Noongar men Korey Penny whom today holds a key position employed in the Forrestfeild link underground railway project Korey has worked now on this project for the past 2 years and is a rector operator laying the concrete rings of the tunnel after the boring machine has dug its way through Korey is a great story of self determination and I am so proud of Korey success story from day one of coming into the Ngalla Maya program I knew this young man was going places in his life much love and respect unc.

06.01.2022 Ngalla Maya another one of our young men released from prison and engaged upon release and came and got onto our Ngalla Maya Prison to Community Reintegration p...rogram and gained all his tickets in construction (Ronald Ryan) and has now been working for the past 5 month on a project in Perth operating a Skid steer and an excavator and it is so good to hear that he is now happily engaged to be Married with his partner and is doing so well for himself and his family and Children this is what makes it all worthwhile when we see our young men doing constructive things to better their lives and all that they need is that bit of support and given realistic opportunities to change their lives around and they all can as they are all very capable of achieving their goals but we must first believe in them so that they can begin believing in themselves and encourage them into knowing they are all worthy and to never give up on that Hope as we all can change much love and respect Ronald on your journey unk. 04.01.2022 Ngalla Maya today we completed phase 1 of our pre-release pilot program in Casurina prison getting the men ready for coming out into the community and gaining o...pportunities of employment just preparing them with the mindset if they want to change their lives which they all most certainly can do and upon release to come into our prison to community reintegration program at Ngalla Maya and we will support them into meaningful opportunities of employment we have worked with two groups of ten men in the past month 20 of the men then we engage and help and support them when they come out we have worked around building their self esteem and confidence up and telling them they are all worthy to make changes to do better for themselves in the community it is about giving them the mindset that they are all capable and worthy to achieve the goals they may set in life I truly enjoyed working with the brothers and looking forwards to supporting them on the outside much love and respect to them all and a big thank you to Tony Hassall the Commissioner of Corrective Services WA for allowing me to deliver the Ngalla Maya program to my people in the prison system. 01.01.2022 Ngalla Maya the way forwards in reducing incarceration rates in the WA justice system for our First Nations People is for our own people to deliver services to our own people we don't have the many barriers that mainstream providers do have whilst trying to deliver services to our First Nations People communication levels etc we have the care and love for our own people and that never give up attitude and to persevere with our people as i too have lived and breathed it as lived experiences daily in the WA justice system (Prison) the same as many of our young people are still going through today to break the cycle of imprisonment our people have to be included as the solution and my success comes from my people succeeding young people like Chris Ugle and thank you Chis for your words of Thanks & Love my brother ..
