25.01.2022 Everything you will all give up for the next few weeks, all of the lost contact with others, all of the isolation, and difficult time entertaining children i...t will literally save lives. Thousands of lives. Today Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that the COVID-19 Alert Level had been lifted to Level 3 effective immediately, and would be rising to Alert Level 4 on Wednesday at 11.59 pm. This will allow time to ensure that essential services are in place before all non-essential businesses are required to close, and all New Zealanders are required to self-isolate. Alert Level 4 will last for 4 weeks to begin with, but could remain in place for longer if people fail to isolate. To find out what this means for you and your family, visit https://covid19.govt.nz/government-ac/covid-19-alert-level/.

23.01.2022 BREAKING: Here's our back to school plan for Queensland students. Students in Kindy, Prep, Year 1, Year 11 and Year 12 will return to school on May 11, while s...tudents in Years 2 to 10 will continue remote learning at home. We will review the situation on May 15, with the goal to return the remaining students on May 25 if low COVID-19 transmission rates continue. Children of essential workers and vulnerable children are still able to attend school. A sensible and gradual return is only possible because of Queensland’s success in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Compare our efforts to what has happened in other parts of the world and Queenslanders should feel very proud. Keep up the good work! #coronavirus

16.01.2022 Next week we start paying the $550 Coronavirus Supplement and we’d like to share some information about when you’ll start seeing this payment. You’ll only star...t receiving this with your fortnightly payment once you’ve reported income for the period that covers 27 April or after. For example, if you're due to receive your next payment on 27 April, the reporting period will cover up to 26 April. This means the Coronavirus Supplement won’t be included in this payment cycle. If eligible, we’ll pay the supplement with your next fortnightly payment. If you’re eligible to get the Coronavirus Supplement we’ll continue to pay you the supplement each fortnight for a period of 6 months from 27 April. To get the full supplement each fortnight you must get at least $1 of your payment for that fortnight. The supplement will not appear in your future payments until 26 April onwards. If you get an eligible payment, you don’t need to call or do anything - we’ll pay you automatically. You can find more information here: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au//coronavirus-supplem/
