10.01.2022 Kia ora whaanau Every week on a Thursday we alternate Paimaarire practice between Altona North at the Migrant Resource Centre and at The Dock, Dandenong, South ...East Melbourne. Paimaarire is a school of prayers founded by the Taranaki prophet Te Ua Haumene in 1864/65 and adopted by the 2nd Maaori King, King Taawhiao in the same year. Paimaarire is embraced and carried by the Kiingitanga. It is used on many occasions and at various hui from Poukai to tangihanga, but is upheld at the Kings Coronation every year, from the start of the hui to the end of the hui. Paimaarire literally means - It is good! It is well! 08.06.2017 will be next Paimarire at the Dock..everyone welcome
