23.01.2022 The diversity of Narrow Gauge Downunder is on show in the July 2020 issue. We visit a large-scale layout built for minimum space - Steve Pettit's "Trouble Brewing Co"; an amazing operating 1:350 diorama of the iconic VR Selby trestle; and the huge HOn3 Rio Grande Southern of Jeff Reynolds. Plus, plenty of projects - detailing projects; scenery basics and an industrial diesel kit bash. There's plenty to unwind with, in the July NGDU....

23.01.2022 A quick "sneak peek" at the forthcoming October issue of Narrow Gauge Downunder... https://www.ngdu.com.au

22.01.2022 A weekend 'off' from NGDU duties allowed for some much-delayed progress on my On3 C&S layout, with installation of the Georgetown High Bridge. This scene has waited over a year while I vacillated, cast some rocks, procrastinated some more... A raid of neighbour's Pride of Madeira plant provided the trees! In the end a frenzy (comparatively speaking) of progress saw the scenery finished, bridge installed and 10 footings cast in plastic from a clay master. Pleased with it so far...

22.01.2022 Some sharp-eyed readers spotted an error with the 'DC throttle' wiring diagram in April's issue. A correction will appear in July's issue - here is the updated diagram (with purple wire from potentiometer to the capacitor, not the upper diode). Apologies - the error arose when we re-drew the original sketch.

20.01.2022 The January issue of NGDU is in the post! Hopefully, the elves at AusPost will help it along for delivery over the Xmas break. This issue has a stack of interest and project ideas for your holidays... All the best for Xmas and the new year, from us at NGDU.

19.01.2022 April's Narrow Gauge Downunder is out today! There's plenty to interest readers - from John Hunter's exploration of "telling stories" in dioramas; making a 'family' of way cars; and a visit to Tasmania's North-East Dundas Tramway. Plus, we cover detailing craftsman structures; large-scale kitbashing and lots more. Get your copy directly by subscribing; or ask your local hobby shop or newsagent to stock NGDU. PS - We'll be at the Australian Narrow Gauge Convention at Easter - hope to see you there!!

16.01.2022 Some fun reading for a change - just when you need it. The April issue of NGDU is out now, and we'll make this issue available now (rather than waiting for July) - so if you're in 'iso', you can order at our online store and have a copy delivered to your door! The April issue has some great features, including Rod Hutchinson's iconic tramway, "The Points" - plus a visit to the real location in "Off the Beaten Track". Other features include Kim Marsh's travelling micro-layout;... building your own power supply; and all the projects, methods and information you need for some productive modelling. What can't you build with NGDU, while holed up at home?

16.01.2022 It’s summer time, and time to harvest flowers for the next batch of model pines. We’re fortunate to have a flourishing Pride of Madeira plant nearby, and the dried flowers make great pine trees! I tend to spray the armatures and sprinkle ground foam over. What’s your favourite tree-making method?

13.01.2022 Some great feedback on Narrow Gauge Downunder's October issue.. "Features in your wonderful magazine are always good, but the modeling for the "Basin Creek Lumber Co" was... Exceptional!". Thanks indeed! It's an issue packed full of interest, from large scale scratch building to cutting your own timber. Get your's today...

02.01.2022 We love Keith McCarron's skilful layout photography, and delighted that the July issue of NGDU features Keith's images of Paul Ferguson's HOn3 "Silverton Northern".
