The pads need to be updated every 2 years even if not used. We have just had ours updated at Electel & I thought I would share this information with you all, in case you were not aware. St Johns serviced ours.

16.01.2022 Hello everyone Some of you may have missed me and some may have just been glad I stopped writing these reports but either way I am back and I trust this finds you all well and your loved ones safe. In reality this weekend would have been round 18 can you believe that and therefore I felt compelled to reflect and share a few thoughts. Well it only took a second COVID19 wave, unprecedented deaths in our State, escalating case numbers and not a single game of AFL being played in...Continue reading

15.01.2022 https://youtu.be/zDrx1-vbsOM Netball Victoria Affiliate Pledge As a proud Netball Association/League, we are very grateful that Netball Victoria has demonstrated sound decision making - both now and in the past - for the overall benefit and longevity of our sport.... As a sport, we have always done a lot with a little. And this is evident now more than ever. In an environment where some multi-national corporations have faltered, a small, not-for-profit state sporting organisation, is still chugging along. It’s not quite business as normal working environments, staff hours and the way netball is delivered have all had to change but it is business as usual. Netball Victoria exists to improve people’s lives, and we are thankful that they will withstand the pandemic and be there to support organisations like ours and our Clubs now and into the future. A strong Netball Victoria is important to us, not just for our Association/League, but for the overall longevity of the sport we love. At this time, we are strongly encouraging our members to pledge their 2020 Netball Victoria Membership. Your Netball Victoria Membership is an investment in the future of our sport.

12.01.2022 Usually, at this time of year, we’d be trying to contain our excitement as we plan for the annual Pride Cup. COVID-19 has meant it’s going to look a little different this year, but the league is so thankful our major sponsor AGL Energy continues to support the Pride Cup initiative.

09.01.2022 Sadly this weekend we would have been heading into the last round of the home & away season. Whilst we are all very much in lock down, I'd like everyone to spare a thought for each & every club within the NGFNL. What a tough year everyone has had to endure. I think that whilst running a club throughout a season is pretty tough at times, I also believe that this is probably one of the toughest any of you have had to administer. 1stly the uncertainty of the season, 2ndly keepi...ng your playing membership & volunteer base in tack & engaged & 3rdly retaining sponsorship within your club. Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting club sponsors as well as the NGFNL sponsors. We hope that in these trying times of COVID19 that you not only support your own club sponsor but those of other clubs also. Without us, the NGFNL community, our sponsors may not survive. If they do not survive then in turn our clubs may not survive.. let's all stick together & support each other when you can. Reach out to any of featured sponsors & tell them you are part of the NGFNL community. I'm sure they will appreciate it. Most importantly as COVID19 cases continue to crawl in & within our community, we ask everyone to please stay safe, be smart, wear a mask, sanitise, keep you distance so that we can all remain healthy & be able to be apart of 2021. on behalf of the NGFNL Board of Directors, Martha Truin See more

05.01.2022 The Board of the NGFNL together with all member clubs have conducted extensive analysis and significant due diligence around the impacts of COVID19, and the associated return to play policies imposed by AFL Victoria. We understand and appreciate the time frames associated with this process may have caused some frustration, but we can unashamedly say, we have left no stone unturned in our decision-making process or in our desire to find a workable solution. Accordingly, the N...GFNL will abandon Season 2020 for all Senior Football and Netball competitions. Our decision was influenced by many factors such as the recent COVID-19 announcements by the Premier of Victoria Mr Daniel Andrews, ongoing social distancing requirements, the threat of a secondary COVID-19 wave, increased volunteer workloads, compliance expectations and with the simple reality around player and patron numbers attending our venues and under what circumstances they can attend has ongoing limitations which will impact the commercial viability of community clubs. We could not justify or envisage a return to business as usual and nor are we prepared to risk the health and wellbeing of people nor club sustainability. Our Board and member clubs sincerely desire to thank all volunteers, club members, sponsors and significant others who make our Brand respected and have endured this journey with us. We have appreciated your patience, valued your support and trust you will all join us again in 2021 Finally, whilst we cannot proceed with a Senior competition, we will turn our attention on the junior aspects of our league and hope to deliver some opportunities for our young players who are the future of our respective Football and Netball competitions.

01.01.2022 Press Release 3rd July 2020 North Gippsland Football Netball League - Junior Competition for season 2020 The NGFNL has undertaken an in-depth review of all AFL Vic return to play policy including a deep dive into COVID19 compliance requirements within community clubs and in that regard specific focus on all staged training, crowd attendance and competition scenarios.... During our analysis and assessment, we have openly encouraged consultation and invited all member Clubs to share internally any concerns or strongly held views when forming their intent to support or withdraw from a competition in season 2020. The NGFNL Board has since received each members club’s decision with no clear direction being forthcoming from that process which inevitably places the casting vote on any return to play in the hands of the NGFNL Board. This complex issue has many components which could be argued with passion in either direction however in forming our decision we have considered the rationale for abandoning our Senior competition, recent COVID19 trends within Victorian, the State Governments tightening of social distancing policy together with the fact that despite everyone’s best intentions to be fully compliant with return to play policy, COVID19 pandemic is not age specific. Our Boards overarching stance remains firmly focused on the safety and well-being of all community members and therefore the NGFNL Board’s final decision has been to support the withdraw and abandonment of all competition, at any level within the NGFNL for season 2020. Whilst the Board knows full well this decision is not in line with that of other leagues, we equally understand the significance of our junior competition to support and build club success and the value gained by social engagement via sport however in our eyes the ultimate potential risks versus any reward played out significantly in our final decision. We have appreciated the support given and offered during these unprecedented times including that of our governing bodies AFL Gippsland, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria. We sincerely thank all Volunteers and Club executives and look forward to planning a robust and vibrant 2021 competition. David Kyle NGFNL President
