16.01.2022 Lethbridge Winery (in Victoria) have been using our natural mineral nutrition, Herbagreen, for several years with great success. We were happy to be invited to the launch of their new wines last year.

16.01.2022 The role of calcium in plants is very similar to that in humans; it is essential for good growth and structure. Insufficient calcium levels lead to deterioration of the cell membrane; the cells become leaky losing cell compounds, leading to death of the cell and plant tissue.... Calcium regulates various cell and plant functions as a secondary messenger. This function as a secondary messenger assists in various plant functions from nutrient uptake to changes in cell status to help the plant react to the impact of environmental and disease stresses. Nutrient Uptake Calcium regulates various cell functions, it regulates the protein pump which enables the uptake and movement of nutrients into the root and throughout cells within a plant. At the root level, calcium activates stimulation of the protein channels that take up nutrients. Heat Stress Calcium is able to mitigate heat stress effects by improving stomata function and other cell processes. Calcium is also believed to have an influence on the development of heat shock proteins that help the plant tolerate the stress of prolonged heat.

Our Managing Director, Sten Lindeberg, held a presentation about the benefits when using our natural mineral nutrition, Herbagreen, and our liquid soil conditioner, Vitaflora. ... Several farmers decided to try Vitaflora and Herbagreen on their tomatoes. After only one application the farmers claimed - The leaves were darker - The yield had increased - Tomatoes were much more firm Thanks to the added Calcium in our fertilisers the plants gained a stronger resistance.
