04.01.2022 Our deepest gratitude to Kirt Mallie of Modern Organic, and Yoga Australia Yarn Circle member, who has brought forward the invitation to everyone to go BAREFOOT for January 26th. This simple act of mutual reciprocity and healing with earth is important, wherever you are standing. HELP US MAKE THIS VIRAL. TAKE ACTION BY COPYING THIS BANNER , MAKING IT YOUR FACEBOOK COVER AND GETTING IT OUT THERE , USING YOUR OWN WORDS TO BRING YOUR PEOPLE ALONG FOR THE JOURNEY.... Jan 26th is an opportunity for deep reflection for us all, for truth telling and for acknowledgement of the past and present atrocities First Nations peoples have and continue to endure under colonisation. Acknowledging also that despite these atrocities, traditional peoples of this continent have continued with resilience and survived and continue to seek reconciliation rather than revenge as we are compassionate and sharing as well as strong and proud people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultures are the oldest continuing culture, a reason for all Australians to be proud. One Little Warrior Woman I urge you to go BAREFOOT on Jan. 26th and STAND WITH US #alwayswasalwayswillbe #BelongingDay #wayapawuurrk #reciprocity

03.01.2022 it was lovely for Ngungwulah to receive this thank you from the Miriam Rose Foundation for our contribution earlier this year : On behalf of the Miriam Rose Foundation staff and Board, our Chairperrson Julie Calvert and Miriam herself I would like to thank you all for your generosity in 2020. Your donations have started ripples that will affect the lives of the Indigenous Australians for years to come. With your help we have run an IT and Music Hub on Nauiyu this year with... some terrific results. We sponsored two Nauiyu Youth to attend the Indigenous Youth Leadership Summit in Cairns in February, entered the Dance Rites Competition, hosted a visit to Nauiyu by the Alice Springs World Chamber Orchestra, provided at least one community meal gathering each week, conducted 65 Art based school holiday activities and commenced an on community football program for children with the youth of the community being our coaches and umpires. In November we hosted a spectacular Naidoc BBQ that saw all the young men and boys from the 15 language groups on Nauiyu hold corroboree together for the first time in years. The atmosphere was full of pride and dignity. In a year that was full of challenges the world over you helped us succeed in making life better for the young people of Nauiyu. You helped us make a real difference and start some positive dynamics that will urge this wonderful group of people forward into a better space. We are not great at taking photos of our events as we have just two staff and we are usually flat out during events but we promise to try and share more stories with photos over the next year. To our Victorian friends a special thank you for your sacrifice and forbearance in keeping the virus contained. To our Sydney friends take solace in nature and your inner voice as you are holed up over the next few weeks. To our overseas friends who have been most horribly affected by this pandemic, we are so sorry for your losses and hope that in time your hearts will be mended by the knowledge that you have loved deeply and been loved in return. To all our friends Merry Christmas, Thank you and may your inner spring be restored and nourished at this special time of the year. Kindest regards Jacinta Stanford Executive Officer Miriam Rose Foundation 0435 933 436
