25.01.2022 I am so honoured and privileged to finally meet Sam Lovell who is the pioneer for Aboriginal tourism in Western Australia. Sam started his tourism business Kimberley Safari Tours in 1981 and is the patron for WAITOC. He has inspired many Aboriginal people across the state to become tour operators and is a living legend!

25.01.2022 This is an area in Hearsons Cove where I take my tour guests during low tide to look for mudcrabs, save stranded turtle's and watch the staircase to the moon. I spend a lot of time visiting this beautiful place!

25.01.2022 I love flying back into Karratha and seeing airport creek on high tide from the air.

25.01.2022 Spent all day yesterday filming on country for a caravanning tv show. Went to a few of our beautiful locations to showcase the history and beauty of our region.

24.01.2022 My sister Cherylea has started creating bush medicine products sourced from local bush medicines from our traditional country. Jami means plant based medicine in our language and different jami have different purposes depending on the plant and the ailments people are suffering from. Bush medicines are the responsibility of women to carry the knowledge/teachings which makes women natural healers. This is from her page... Wayiba everyone, we have finally put some prices on our... products. We wanted to be reasonable and fair across the board and importantly want our products to be affordable for everyone. Bear in mind there are so many Bush Medicine products that are out there and we try to be competitive as such. We want our Jami Bush Medicine to stand out from the rest because it is unique to us; our ancestors, our culture and our way of life. It makes us who we are Products include; Foot Soak $15 Multipurpose Balm $20 Headache & Tension Roll on $25 Lotion Bars $5

24.01.2022 Nganjarli formally known as Deep Gorge has had upgrades to allow the public better access and viewing of the rockart. It's a place where I do the majority of my rockart tours and a place I have visited with my family since I was very young. There is over 10,000 petroplyphs located in this area alone and some dating back over 50,000 years old.

23.01.2022 Winyama aka sea eagles

23.01.2022 Love me a good 4wd trip through my ancestral lands!

23.01.2022 Yindjibarndi country is known for having many colours of ochre but these four are the main colours used in ceremony and painted on artefacts such as shields. Gurnan is our name for ochre but is also the name for black ochre, yellow is biyulu, red is mardarr and white is jilba.

23.01.2022 Jamanungga - The Foothills - Chichester Ranges

22.01.2022 Be careful of dangers in the shallows at low tide!

22.01.2022 4wding today to check out the rivers after yesterday's rains.

22.01.2022 Plenty of hidden gems here in Karratha

22.01.2022 You can now drive up to Millstream-Chichester National Park on a fully sealed road, which has been renamed Manuwarra Red Dog Highway. https://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au//Karratha-Tom-Price-

21.01.2022 Honeyeater petroplyph

21.01.2022 Vince and I did another rockart and bush tucker combined tour with Woodside graduates this afternoon at Ngajarli and Hearson's Cove. We caught a mudcrab and got to see lots of sealife including a baby crayfish.

20.01.2022 Love the aerial view of this creek, also great for fishing and mudcrabbing and allows access to Hearsons Cove at lowtide.

20.01.2022 My friend Pete got this goanna for me today because it was in his yard eating all his chook eggs. So we all went down to Hearsons Cove so I could show them how to gut it traditionally, to be ready to cook later this arvo.

20.01.2022 Wagari (wah-gah-ree) - Ngarluma Gawi (gah-wee) - Yindjibarndi Fish - English

18.01.2022 If you can't see the beauty in the place that you live then do you even deserve to be there? For many years people not from here would bag the Pilbara and say that there are better places than here but I totally disagree. The Pilbara is stunning, unique, ancient, spiritual and home to me and my people. We have islands, beaches, gorges, rivers, waterholes, springs, desert, oasis' and more. If you don't believe me then you need to come out on country with me and I'll show you first hand!

18.01.2022 Cooked up a kangaroo stew, Johnny cakes and damper for the kids at the Youthshed last night. We all thoroughly enjoyed cooking and eating it.

17.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. Enjoy your festive season and be safe and we hope to see you in the new year. Ngurrangga Tours will be closed during the Christmas period and throughout January.

17.01.2022 Rain, rain, glorious rain! The rain from the tropical low has filled up the gorges around Murujuga. It's definitely not everyday you see water running through here!

17.01.2022 Natural sweets that you can find in the bush around the Pilbara.

17.01.2022 Yurlburrunha aka Python Pool

17.01.2022 I just caught this lightning strike during last night's sunset!

16.01.2022 Yes I'm always keen to show people around my backyard! Thanks for sharing ANW.

16.01.2022 Marnigarlira - Thylacine

16.01.2022 I've been finding all the snakes lately. Found another olive python today this time in Murujuga National Park.

15.01.2022 Took the Senators out on a rockart tour with the Murujuga Rangers and Murujuga staff the other day to teach them the significance of Murujuga and how it's connected to many Aboriginal group's through songlines. This was to help them with the Senate Inquiry into the destruction of Jukaan Gorge and to make better changes to the Heritage Act.

14.01.2022 Ngarluma ngurra- The flood country This video shows you how the landscape and former home of my ancestors were flooded by rising sea levels for which we have a dreamtime story about. Before the flood we were a different people but now we are known as the Ngarluma people aka people of the flood country. This is part if the interactive display at the new Boola Bardip - WA Museum building.

14.01.2022 Norwester's repping the Pilbara and Kimberley at the 4wd and camping show. Thanks to @waitoc and @westernaustralia for hosting us.

14.01.2022 Garrbarn/Garrwarn (wet season) is around the corner and this year should be wetter than the previous year's due to the coming La Niña. From a traditional perspective rain is created by the rainbow serpent which is to renew the country!

14.01.2022 Whenever I go looking for mudcrabs amongst the mangroves I often run into these little seasnakes. This one was trying to catch mud skippers.

13.01.2022 I hope that the government doesn't allow Perderman Urea plant to be built in Murujuga especially since we're trying to gain World Heritage listing. The last thing we need out there is another plant which could be built in the Maitland industrial area instead. Like seriously, why can't they build their plant 30kms down the road away from the largest outdoor art gallery!

13.01.2022 It's difficult to complain about going to work when you've got an office like this!

13.01.2022 Tall mulla-mulla Murlu-murlu (Ngarluma) Gumbarli-jiwurna (Yindjibarndi)

13.01.2022 Being Aboriginal in the Pilbara means being out on country with family, teaching our culture, language and history, enjoying a swim at a few local waterholes and catching some fresh tucker on the way back home for dinner!

13.01.2022 Spent this arvo doing a bush tucker tour around Hearson's Cove in Murujuga National Park with ECU students. I let Vince do most of the tour guiding and he is definitely getting better each week at teaching our guests our culture!

10.01.2022 OUR NGURRA - Photography Exhibition Over the course of nine months, a group of young people from Roebourne have been working with Ngarluma & Yindjibarndi Man Clinton Walker and Big hART on Banthunguru-bura (The Next Generation) a youth-focused, leadership development program. The trips have provided an opportunity for young people to see their Country from a new perspective, taking time and care to document significant places, moments, and people through the lens of a camera.... To mark an important milestone in the program, the participants have chosen to share a series of photographs, each holding a personal significance to the photographer. Please join us to celebrate the opening of this exhibition - 5pm, June 4 at the Cossack Gallery. Free Entry, Food, and Drink provided. The exhibition remains open through to Sunday June 27

09.01.2022 Today I had an epic day exploring around Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi country with Charlotte and James from @cjmaddock teaching them about my people's culture and heritage. We got to visit so many beautiful places and see heaps of ancient rockart!

09.01.2022 My people have enjoyed this coastline for thousands of years and if you haven't yet then you should too. Come for a visit to Murujuga whenever you get the chance! #wanderoutyonder #karrathaiscalling #thisiswa #seeaustralia

08.01.2022 Had an awesome day out exploring around some of our islands here in the Dampier Archipelago with my bro @_s.j.park and good mate @bruce_jorgensen. Need to go out again very soon! @ Dampier Archipelago

08.01.2022 At the beginning of Garrbarn (wet season), rain is pretty scattered and isolated but as it builds up over the next few weeks we then start to see tropical lows and cyclones. These major storms are very dangerous but are also necessary to rejuvenate the country and flush out stagnant waterholes and rivers to bring back life into the waterways.

07.01.2022 Red dirt roads lead to many hidden gems!

07.01.2022 It's definitely warming up now! If you're booked on the 4WD Tagalong Tour tomorrow don't forget to bring your bathers. There are still limited spaces available, why not join us?

05.01.2022 Nganjarli formally known as Deep Gorge in Murujuga National Park now has new access pathways and interpretive signage for visitors to utilise and enjoy when viewing the petroplyphs. These do not replace people like myself but help those that aren't able to book on a tour. It also enhances the tour experience for my clients as they can get up closer to some of the rockart that was difficult to see in the past.

04.01.2022 Many waterways across the Pilbara region were used as thoroughfare's to gain access to various places for ceremonies, meetings, general travel and trade. Due to the constant visitation along theses areas you will find many rockart sites and artefacts including seashells from the coast as people would trade various items and record their interactions on the stone walls.

02.01.2022 Kangaroo petroplyph with multiple spears penetrating its hide, indicating that the area is a good hunting ground for kangaroo's.

02.01.2022 Australian bustards aka bush turkey's Bardura - Yindjibarndi Bardurra - Ngarluma

02.01.2022 My nephew Elijah showing our tour guests how to get nectar from the desert pea flowers, during this mornings rockart tour.

02.01.2022 Happy NAIDOC Week from Yirramagardunha aka Roebourne! #naidoc2020

01.01.2022 When the waterholes start to dry up and the weather becomes hot, that's when the build up starts and then the rains return!

01.01.2022 I absolutely love my culture and heritage but I also love sharing it with the people who come on my tours and my followers on social media.

01.01.2022 An awesome facility that I can't wait to use for my tourism!
