20.01.2022 Finally got to properly test out the new Intima Type-D v2.0 brake pads on our project R33 GTS-t. Massive difference from their first generation of the Type-D compound and definitely more predictable. Our R33 also performed well, however with big power & boost comes elevated crank case pressure causing the oil catch can to fill up rapidly around high lateral G corners when full throttle is applied. We have strategised a way to combat this and will be materialising that soon. This involves using the unused front VCT drain and turning that into a crank case vent and feeding it to our catch can. Hopefully this will alleviate the pressure imbalance between head and crank case, thus allowing oil to freely flow back down to the sump @intimabrakes #nhbautomotive #nhb #noholdingback #intimabrakes

17.01.2022 Using a Solid State Relay (SSR) can be a cost effective way to control high current, high flowing fuel pump(s) via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) provided you're able to utilise a DPO from your ECU (sorry PowerFC users). Gone are the days of staging pumps or running resistors to lower the voltage. When implemented properly, with the right strategies in place you'll end up with lower fuel temperatures, correct smooth fuel pressure (no nasty spikes from pumps coming on). Just r...emember to run a flyback diode when implementing these and utilising a heatsink to prevent them from burning up.
