19.01.2022 VALE .........COLIN Nugget TULLY North Hobart Cricket Club is saddened by the passing of one of their greats, Colin Nugget Tully. Colin came to the Club via South Hobart Cricket Club in the early 80’s taking over as Club Coach and Captain from Rob Jeffrey in the 82/83 Season . His highest score was 222no and he hit a whoppin...g 172 fours and 51 sixes. As a bowler, his quick slinging action netted 142 wickets at an average of 24.6 off 1269 overs. Nugget won the Club Champion Award.....the Cotton Medal, twice in those 5 years. Colin’s involvement in Cricket in this state extended to stints with Brighton CC when they first entered the 1st Grade Comp and also as the U19 State Coach. Colin also served on the TCA Board Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time

17.01.2022 With the first two-dayers of 20/21 taking place over the past couple of weekends, the weekly wrap up has a huge fortnight of Demon performances. First Grade men and women controlled their matches, with CJ's 122 (197) and Stef's 82 (54) guiding team victories. Notching up three wins from three games sees NHCC sitting atop the table in both male and female First Grade competitions. A tougher road for mens Second and Third grade, who fought valiently until the end. Big props to Gabe Deayton for his first innings 7fa - a spell to remember! Mixed bag for womens Second Grade, with a win and loss on the board to start the season. In the underage grades, 17's snuck over the line in a tight one, and the 15's continue to work on their craft as the season progresses. On to next week! #dees #itsagrandoldflag

12.01.2022 After another few weeks of two-day cricket, there are some huge results to report on. First Grade Mens Captain Caleb continues to cruise through the wicket, picking up his second century in as many games and guiding his team to a win. The First Grade Women's Captain Hannah Short is in equally good nick with the bat, picking up back to back 50's in the T20 format. Both First Grade sides sit atop the ladder in their respective competitions. The Second Grade teams are stepping c...loser to securing victories as the weeks pass. Captain on debut Isaac Manson played a critical role for the team in scoring runs as he and Wizard May amongst the poles lead from the front. Jane Roussow and Mel Armstrong have been anchors for the women, allowing the overs to be batted out two weeks running. Third Grade didn't get the finish they were after, but do the club proud every week, and offer a pathway to some up and coming talent. U17 Boys got over the line in a tight one, largely thanks to the efforts with the ball. U15 Boys also snuck home with a couple of wickets in the shed. Well done, lads and ladies!
