22.01.2022 DC3 FLIGHT CANCELLED Unfortunately due to the bad weather forecast for Melbourne in the morning, the DC3 has been cancelled. This will also include joy flights after its arrival. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and our Airshow volunteers will be in contact with all passengers (charter & joy flights) this afternoon. ... The Airshow is still going ahead as intended tomorrow, as the weather front will pass through Nhill later today. It is shaping up to be a fantastic day for the whole family! Tomorrows weather forecast for Nhill is looking at a top of 23 degrees and a slight chance of rain first thing in the morning before we get underway. We look forward to seeing you there!

15.01.2022 AIRCRAFT INFO The Grumman Avenger was the heaviest single-engine aircraft of WWII and was first shown to the public at the factory on the afternoon of 7 December 1941 Pearl Harbour Day. The first action for the Avenger was the Battle of Midway on June 4 7 1942. Only six TBF-1 attended Midway but were credited with drawing the Japanese fighters away, so US dive bombers could attack the carriers. On August 24th, 1942, Avengers played a role in the East Solomons Saratoga/Ent...erprise sinking the carrier Ryujo.
