10.01.2022 It is with great pleasure we announce that the Nhulunbuy community has been rewarded with two national awards from the recent Keep Australia Beautiful, Tidy Tow...ns Sustainable Communities Awards for 2020. In the Young legends: Group category, the Nhulunbuy Youth Council won and in the Heritage and Culture category Nhulunbuy won. Leading on from our win as the 2019 NT state winner, these awards acknowledge the huge efforts across our community. Acknowledging the Board of Directors, Town Board and management, all staff and contractors of the Nhulunbuy Corporation, Nhulunbuy Schools, Nhulunbuy Youth Council, Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation, Datjala work camp, Night Hawk recycling and the community as a whole we thank each of you for your contributions to help make Nhulunbuy the tropical paradise it is. We will be working to continue this good work in 2021 and to partner and collaborate with all once again to keep our town tidy and sustainable.
