13.01.2022 Today the Corellas children went on an excursion to Woolworths to buy ingredients to make a cake! It was a great experience for educators and children. So much fun to get out and about. Everyone did great listening and following instructions and all worked hard to keep each other safe!!

Together, we can foster a sense of belonging Together, we can create and access culturally safe spaces and places Together, we can learn from the past as we forge the road ahead Together, we can nurture and care for our Country... Together, we can walk the path of reconciliation. Kiera is studying for her Certificate in Early Childhood Education. Part of her ongoing study includes bringing some fun, educational Aboriginal and Torris Strait Islander activities to NCCS. Our Kookaburras enjoyed making some traditional Torris Strait Islander Masks, while our Corellas enjoyed creating colourful birds inspired from the amazing book How the birds got their colours. 05.01.2022 Hi everyone, it is with great sadness that I let you all know that I will be leaving the service at the end of the month. My last working day will be Friday 29th November. I joined the NCCS team in 2013 and over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the children and families that have attended the centre. It has been an honour and privileged to watch your children grow and to be a part of your families. To all of the AH-MAZING educators I have had the pleasure o...f working with over the years...THANK YOU! I have learnt so much from each and every one of you. To past and present committee members...THANK YOU for your time and contributions to the service. Without you, there would be no child care :( With this in mind NCCS will be looking for a new Director/ECT, if you or someone you know may be interested in the position, please send a resume and expression of interest letter to [email protected]. 01.01.2022 Today we practised a fire evacuation. We all did a fabulous job and managed to succeed under one minute with almost 100% correctness After our evacuation practise we were lucky enough to have Michael from our local fire brigade come and chat with us and show us his fire truck! Some of us got a bit wet!
