03.02.2022 It’s a tough gig moving to a small town on your own and worse when you get COVID. Thanks to Miss Tracy we have some home cooked meals on hand to deliver, alongside some other little treats to soften the blow. Thanks families for your support in ensuring our students and staff stay as safe as possible by not sending your child/ren to school sick. We have rigorous cleaning and hand washing routines in place and have been ensuring students are spending short periods of time in...doors before having a break outside. We will continue to notify families and the school as positive COVID cases are reported each day.

31.01.2022 Dear Families, An electronic notification went out today about a positive COVID case. Please find attached COVID symptoms fact sheet to ensure you only send your child to school if they are well.... Can parents (of students in Grade 1-6) please assist us by dropping students off and picking them up from the ‘Kiss and Go’ at the front of the school rather than entering the school grounds. Additional staff are on hand to assist. Those families and students needing further assistance or support, please contact the Front Office. If you did not get a notification already, please contact the Front Office on 89870022 to update your details. Families isolating are able to access online resources using this link: https://nt.gov.au/learning/learning-together Kind regards, Rachel

14.01.2022 Dear families, Today the generator we are using to provide power to the school failed. This meant no power, phones or server. ... We are working with the Regional COVID response team to identify an appropriate way to deal with this issue in the event that it occurs again. Power has been restored and the generator repaired. Kind regards, Rachel

13.01.2022 2020 has been a tough year! To bring some fun and colour back into our lives NPS celebrated 'R U OK?' Day with a colour fun run sponsored by the Nhulunbuy Corporation together with the Nhulunbuy Youth Council. The event was a hit with smiles all round!

13.01.2022 Have you seen the new Hector the Cat Mural? If not, go check it out! Nhulunbuy Corporation received a Towards Zero Road Safety grant and were kind enough to use the proceeds to bring a very important safety message to our school. With the Towards Zero Road Safety Grant and some In Kind funding from the Nhulunbuy Corporation, artist Peter Dunkley has been painting up a storm. Peter has recreated Hector the cat and some important messages around road and bike safety. The cros...swalk poles have also been repainted red and white by Brendan’s Painting Services to ensure the messaging correlates to the mural. Thank you very much Mike at Nhulunbuy Corporation, Road Safety NT, the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, Peter Dunkley and Brendan's Painting Services.

Included was the journey by canoe and by foot across Arnhem Land to get help for surviving stranded soldiers.
