From the moment students stepped off the plane, they were fully present in every moment and experience. ... The students worked incredibly well together and served the Homeland with humble hands and hearts. 22.01.2022 Year 8/9 Gawa Partnership Program UPDATE Our Year 8/9 students have had a life changing week in Gawa so far. We have participated in language classes, traditional spear making lessons, hunting, bush food collecting, assemblies, classes at Gawa Christian School, traditional dance lessons and so much more! ... The team is looking forward to the challenge of cooking dinner for Gawa tonight and spending the evening dancing on the beach around the bonfire. Lots more photos to come!

We are so proud of all our students for the effort they put in and for the great house spirit that was shown throughout the day. An extra special thanks to all our parent helpers who helped out in so many ways. We can't run events like these without your support and we greatly appreciate all that you do. 18.01.2022 ATHLETICS DAY TOMORROW!!! A reminder that tomorrow is our NCC Athletics Day at Hindle Oval. Please refer to the map and timetable of events so you know when your child's events are running. Children are reminded to apply sunscreen in the morning and to bring a hat and drink bottle. There will be water stations available to refill drink bottles but no cups. Students will also need to bring a packed lunch with non-perishable foods. A free BBQ lunch will also be provided.... We are still looking for parent helpers if you are available to help out. Please let the front office know as soon as possible if you are able to help at any stage during the day. All parents are welcome to come along and cheer on their children! We look forward to seeing you there.

18.01.2022 Tear read-a-thon has ended for another year! Our rather ambitious aim for this year was to raise $2000 for Tear (a non-profit Christian aid organisation) to fund literacy in developing nations. We are so excited to announce that as a school we have raised $4056! Our thanks goes out to all parents, grandparents and community members who have made this possible. It is such a tangible way for young students to see that they can make a difference in this world. What a wonderf...ul demonstration of our school motto to Grow in Wisdom, Serve Others, and Change the World. A big congratulations to Year 3, taking out first place in our class completion by raising $937!

16.01.2022 Parents & Friends Committee (P&F) Plug NCC's P&F committee is full of wonderful parents who have a heart to serve the College. There are some excellent fundraising opportunities coming up that you can be a part of.... Father's Day Stall This Friday, the P&F will be running a Father's Day Stall. Profits raised will go towards supporting projects around the school. See the flyer below. What an unbelievable night We want to take this opportunity to thank the Nhulunbuy Christian College and wider community for participating in such an incredible evening. ... With record breaking numbers, amazing food, wonderful stalls, great live music and performances we are thankful for the many hands who made last night possible. We particularly want to thank the following: - YBE for donating the lighting - Walk About Lodge for donating meals to sell - NCC Parents and Friends committee for organising the dinners and for the many families who donated meals - Arafura Dance Association for showcasing their dance performances - Cassie and Johann Menezes for providing the live music - The NCC staff and students for hosting the wonderful stalls - Parents and friends of NCC for making it a wonderful evening All proceeds from the stalls will go towards supporting NCC's sponsor children at the School of St. Yarad, Ethiopia. 10.01.2022 A big thank you to Paul and Albert from Hockey NT for coming out and running a hockey clinic for our students today. They were fantastic and our students absolutely loved it!!! 08.01.2022 BOOK WEEK PARADE 2020 What a fun time was had by all at our Annual Book Week Parade this morning. It was great to see all the effort that our students went to dressing up as their favourite book characters. A big thank you to all the parents who came along to join in the fun and helped their children look so fabulous. Don't forget that books can still be purchased through our library for the book stall. There are heaps of fantastic books on display.

08.01.2022 Well done to all our 2020 Athletics Carnival age group champions who were awarded in our assembly this morning. The winning house for Athletics was Meshach (Blue House), while Abednego (Yellow House) came second and Shadrach (Red House) was third. We would also like to acknowledge all our students for the way they participated and put their best effort into every event. We are so proud of you all!
