21.01.2022 If you fancy hitting the shops for some post-Christmas bargains, it’s important to remember your COVIDSafe habits from earlier this year. Remember to keep 1.5 m...etres of distance from others, observe customer limits at shops, and consider taking your shopping trip outside peak time. Remember your mask for crowded indoor areas and some hand sanitiser. More on staying safe: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/how-stay-safe-and-well-covid-19
21.01.2022 A huge thank you to anyone who lined up (either by car or on foot) to get covid tested today. I just walked past and was overwhelmed by the selflessness of all those people waiting for a long time to get tested. A huge thank you also to all the people working hard to get everyone tested as quickly as they can! Thank you all!!

19.01.2022 Please watch. This year the Royal Children's Hospital has seen a large increase in children presenting severe burns. As the weather gets warmer and the BBQs &/or firepits are being used more often, remember this information and advice to help keep everyone safe.

15.01.2022 Vic Police October Report for Moonee Valley Vic Police have reported that their biggest issue is theft from motor vehicles. The majority of these thefts are... opportunistic and can be prevented by not leaving any valuables inside vehicles at all, and ensuring vehicles are locked. Theft of mail/parcels from doorsteps has been increasingly common this year. This is due to people ordering more items online due to COVID restrictions. To help prevent mail theft, please try to ensure someone will be home for delivery, or redirect the parcel to another location (i.e post office/PO Box/neighbours house who you know will be home). Sometimes this is not an option, so if you can then try to provide details on a safer place for the parcel to be left that may be hidden more from street view. Online & phone scams are continuing. Please be cautious of giving your personal details via the phone particularly if it is an unexpected phone call. Don’t be afraid to hang up on the caller if you are unsure.

13.01.2022 If you have cold or flu like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose or if you have been told to isolate you cannot... visit a vaccination centre right now. If you have symptoms, you need to go and get a coronavirus test straight away and then stay home until you get your result, to help keep our community safe. To see a list of testing centres: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/where-get-tested-covid-19 The Melbourne Showgrounds testing centre (accessible through Langs Rd, Ascot Vale) has multiple lanes open this afternoon and currently has very short waiting times. If you have been told to isolate, you must do so. For more information, visit https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/what-do-if-you-are-close

07.01.2022 We’ve all learnt this year just how fast illnesses spread when an infected person leaves home and goes to work, out in public, or to a family gathering. Please ...think about the safety of your friends and family at this time of year, too. That means if you’re feeling unwell, however mild, please don’t go visiting and socialising with your loved ones. Get tested. Stay home. 06.01.2022 There probably are some qualified, good meaning, tradies who go door to door to offer their services. But - how can you be sure that the blokes who just turned... up out of the blue to tell you that your roof needs re-tiling are the real deal? If the tradie approaches you, be wary. Check for licenses, qualifications, recommendations. Ask to see examples of their work. Don't pay up front and always check the fine print. And if it all goes horribly wrong - call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444
05.01.2022 In settings with low ventilation, COVID-19 is likely to remain in the air and accumulate in higher concentrations. Better air flow outside means you are much le...ss likely to spread or catch the virus - so catch up with your friends and family outdoors.
