21.01.2022 From another page this morning. Keep an eye out! Hello! My partner just went to work this morning and caught two young people (female/male) breaking into a white ute at the top of koornalla crescent. My partner yelled at them and they ran and hid. 21.01.2022 Prevent Parcel or Mail Theft from Your Home The popularity of online shopping and the convenience of having packages/parcels delivered right to your door...step can also mean an opportunity for thieves. Considerations to prevent mail or parcel thefts from happening to you: Have packages delivered when someone will be home Regularly check the front door Consider a friend or family member to attend your home if you are unavailable If permitted, have it delivered to your work Require a signature Install security cameras as a deterrent Use a lock on your letterbox. If you need to report a theft of mail to police you can call the Police Assistance Line on 131444 or via online at https://www.police.vic.gov.au/palolr.

13.01.2022 Victoria Police proudly supports #NationalChildProtectionWeek Police play an important role in keeping children safe. But so do you. For children to thrive, we ...need to come together as a community to put the needs of children first not just this week, but every week. Not all children grow up in environments that are safe. Child abuse takes many forms; it can be neglect, physical, emotional or sexual abuse, or family violence. Victoria Police have experienced detectives to investigate these crimes. To speak with one of them, contact your nearest SOCIT: go.vic.gov.au/Vnv6p1 If a child is in immediate danger, always call Triple Zero (000).

12.01.2022 Victoria Police is aware of a number of incidents over the weekend where people have deliberately breached the Chief Health Officer directions and are not weari...ng face coverings. Thankfully this selfish behaviour is an exception and the vast majority of people are doing the right thing to protect the health and safety of our community. However, the behaviour of those who blatantly choose to disregard the rules on the insistence their human rights are being breached is alarming. Worse yet, it seems these people are more interested in notoriety and getting likes on social media than the health and wellbeing of their fellow Victorians. My message to anyone planning to break the rules is simple: no one has a human right to infect other people and place the entire Victorian community at risk. In fact, this type of behaviour is childish and is completely unacceptable when police are working incredibly hard to keep the community safe. Victoria Police will continue to use the powers available to them under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 to enforce the Chief Health Officer directions. We will not hesitate to issue $200 fines to people who are obviously and blatantly failing to wear a face covering without a valid reason, such as a medical condition. Police also have the power to arrest people who choose not to wear face coverings and subsequently fail to comply with a police directive to provide proof of identity. Rick Nugent Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations

10.01.2022 PLEASE BE AWARE An important message from police... There is a new trend where recently built homes up for sale are being targeted by thieves. These homes have... staged furniture on display and thieves may be using the internet or attending open inspections to identify items of interest to them prior to the burglary. The homes are an easy target as they are unoccupied at night. Offenders are likely to be using a vehicle to transport any stolen furniture. If you are selling a home or live near one that is up for sale and fits this criteria, please be vigilant with reporting any suspicious activity to police immediately by calling 000.

06.01.2022 People in Metro Melbourne & Mitchell Shire must wear a face covering when you are out of your home for 1 of the 4 permitted reasons, from 11.59pm on Wednesday 2...2 July. However if you are able to start wearing one immediately, please do so. It doesn't have to be a mask, it can be a scarf or bandana, as long as it is covering your mouth and nose. Read more info here: https://bit.ly/3eFlxrZ Download instructions for making your own cloth face mask here: https://bit.ly/2CN1lHG There will be some reasons not to wear one, such as those who have a medical reason, kids under 12 years of age, those who have a professional reason or if it’s just not practical, however you will still be expected to carry your face covering at all times to wear when you can. Face coverings in regional Victoria continue to be recommended in situations where maintaining 1.5 metres distance is not possible.
