23.01.2022 Do you have a favourite mantra?

23.01.2022 "Dance, and make joyous the love around you. Dance, and your veils which hide the Light shall swirl in a heap at your feet." Rumi. I started this magnificent day on the mat with my beautiful yoga teacher, Robyn at The Yoga Room Yamba. During shavasana I received the message "I am radiant" as Robyn described the pathway to removing the veils that cover our true selves. This afternoon we danced that and allowed our radiant light to shine through. My gratitude to the amazing women who joined me and shared their "I am... " moment.

22.01.2022 I hear the sleigh bells ringing! It must be nearly Christmas time! And my beautiful Nia tribe know what that means.... time to dress in your craziest, sparkliest festive clothes and come and dance to my Christmas compilation play list... It's a joy overload!!! 21.01.2022 It's a good life! Enjoying hot chocolate with my friend Cath at Yum Yum cafe and saw this poster! So perfect after our Deep Dive this morning!! I love Nia with my friends....it just doesn't get much better!! Feeling the flow!

21.01.2022 "Within you lies the spiritual light source of the universe. Radiate this energy outwards and you will be brighter than the sun." It is difficult to describe the joy I feel today after yesterday returning to the Source routine with a wealth of new knowledge and awareness. Our focus was abunDANCE....I have all that I need and more.. and when we stepped out, that was truly the feeling. My gratitude to Lis Addison, my teacher and mentor for providing this inspirational music and the tools I can now share with my beautiful community.

19.01.2022 "Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul". Henry Ward Beecher. There is nothing quite like the feeling of coming home....your feet on the earth, the love of friends and seeing the beauty in everything as if for the first time. I am so grateful that tomorrow I get to share the practice I love, Nia, with my very dear friends, my community. If you haven't tried Nia before, please know that everyone is welcome. It is not about getting it right, it is about the JOY of movement. Classes recommence Saturday 10 October 2:00pm and Thursday 15 October at 9:30am, both at Raymond Laurie Sports Centre. 17.01.2022 I'm away from my beautiful home in Yamba at the moment and I feel the absence of the circle of amazing women I dance with each week as well as the uplifting practice we share, Nia. This heart-warming video created by Nia HQ based on the routine by Kelle Rae Oien and team brings home for me how connected we are...joining hands, hearts and souls across this earth. We are ONE.

14.01.2022 I've been away from my gorgeous Nia community for 2 weeks now and deeply miss dancing with you. The joy, energy and vitality we feel when we move as one is so unique and precious. I feel the pull and hope to be back in Yamba next week!!! In the meantime, sending love from my heart to yours.

Just imagine "mobilising the liquid inner space of your body and moving and touching water around your body, flowing with aliveness"! 05.01.2022 What a glorious class this morning! Nearly all of my beautiful circle of women were back to experience the joy of Nia together! Our focus.... Flow! Sensing flow from step to step, move to move, song to song and then stepping out and sensing flow in life. The Deep Dive routine is so perfect for sensing flow! And when you consider our bodies are made up of up to 60% water it feels right! But did you also know that the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, the lungs are about 83%, the skin 64%, muscles and kidneys 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%!!!! It reminded me that as we go through life we sometimes encounter obstacles but, just like the river, we can find a way to flow around. I am so grateful for my community and the beautiful women within it. Dancing with you must be one of the greatest joys of my life.

04.01.2022 And so another Nia season comes to an end! We have so enjoyed Ignite and Deep Dive and, of course, the shared joy of moving together in our sacred sister circle. Last night some of us celebrated this moment in time. Thank you for a wonderful evening! My gratitude goes to all of the beautiful women who have danced with me for the past 14 weeks! It is a true honour to be your teacher. Take care while I'm away. Keep dancing through life and I'll see you when I get back!

02.01.2022 It's that time of year again where we gather together to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. Last night we celebrated a year of Nia, music, movement, magic and love. Through this very strange year these beautiful women continued to support me and each other. It's surprising the way the restrictions led to new opportunities, new learnings, new ways of being. For me personally, I received so much fulfillment from meditation within a loving, like-minded group ...of friends. Many revelations also came from receiving the knowledge, wisdom and expertise of my friend, Lis Addison Music. Sharing the practice of Kinetic Voice in 2021 is so exciting to me. I know it will enrich the lives of my commUnity the way it has mine. Thank you, Lis! In class yesterday, we explored finding our edge, going a little higher, deeper, stronger... conditioning and nurturing our bodies, minds, hearts and spirit. We have one body, it is precious. We will never take our health for granted. Love your body....love your life. Next week we will celebrate the festive season in class. Always fun!!!
