25.01.2022 With many thanks to Elka Wood and About Regional for publishing our story. We’re quite chuffed about the article, but it’s also a wonderful reminder of how far we’ve come, and how very lucky we are to be living in the Bega Valley. Making cheese is such a joy and because Candelo markets reopen tomorrow, Sunday 1st Nov, we’ll be making a special batch of haloumi, with mint, in celebration. Hope to see you there!

25.01.2022 Dear cheese lovers - here’s another chance to pick up some of our delicious hand made cheese! We’ve got the truffle infused goats milk cheese; farmhouse with Italian herbs; haloumi with mint; Crescenza, and, feta. Why not stock up for the week or grab a cheese platter to enjoy by the water.

24.01.2022 Niagara Lane is in the unusual position of having a lot of cheese in the fridge after last weeks stalls. Because we don’t plastic wrap or use artificial preservatives, it won’t keep for long and it’s too good to feed to the pig! So, if you’re in the mood for a cheese platter, or a collection of cheeses to devour through the week, please send us a message. We have the truffle infused goats milk cheese, Caerphilly, farmhouse with Italian herbs, feta and our delicious Crescenza. Available for pick up from Kameruka or delivery to Bega and Candelo by arrangement.

20.01.2022 As the weather warms and as the local markets are slowly but steadily reopening, we too are coming out of hibernation. This week, you can find us at the Bermagui Growers Market from 3pm Thursday 1st, and, the Bega Produce Markets Friday 2nd from 8am. We’ll be well stocked with our truffle infused goats milk cheese, farmhouse with Italian herbs, feta, Crescenza and a welsh cheddar, Caerphilly.

20.01.2022 Niagara Lane will be back at the Bega Produce Markets, tomorrow Friday 18, and, Merimbula Seaside Markets, Sunday 20 September. For your tasting delight, we have our Crescenza, Farmhouse with Italian herbs, Halloumi with mint, truffle infused goats milk cheese, Caerphilly, and, feta. Hand made, small batch artisan cheeses, only available at the markets. Hope to see you there!

18.01.2022 And for something a little different to our usual cheese stall, we’ll be at the Community Cricket Day, Lords View Oval, Kameruka, with cheese platters! All of your favourite cheeses with some delicious accompaniments, including tomato chilli jam, caramelised onion & beetroot relish, olives, sundried tomatoes and crackers. All you’ll need is a glass of wine!

14.01.2022 Our first Brie is coming along beautifully. 2 more days and it should be completely covered in mould, then it gets wrapped and continues to mature in the fridge for another 1-2 weeks. Cracking this one will be a source of pure and unadulterated joy. Alternatively, it could be a massive fail but it’s all a matter of taste and time will tell.

14.01.2022 I know this is our first post in a while, but with local markets cancelled, we’ve had no choice but to curtail our cheesemaking. However, we’ve had a special request for fresh cheese curds for a Canadian birthday feast. Apparently, Poutine is a wonderful and delicious concoction of fries, gravy and cheese curds and is one of the most quintessential Canadian dishes. Our question is, if we made a big batch, who else would like some? Would you pre-order,then pick up from our place or Candelo or Bega? Let us know, please! If this works, we might try it again.

11.01.2022 We are so very excited to be back at the Bega Produce Markets this Friday, 19th June. While we will have a reduced range, you’ll still be able to taste and buy our truffle infused goat’s milk chèvre; Persian feta; Crescenza, and, farmhouse with Italian herbs. We’re close to having some Caerphilly available and in coming weeks, we plan on making Gorgonzola Dolce. Fingers crossed! Is there another cheese you think we should try? Let us know!

11.01.2022 It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Only 5 weeks to go. Don’t forget to place an order for a delicious cheese box for Chrissy day or New Year’s Eve. Our cheeses, locally cured meats, homemade caramelised onion and beetroot relish and tomato chilli jam. Plus, we’ve sourced some fantastic locally made crackers! Send us a message for more information or to place an order and we’ll get back to you. The small box (as per the photo) is only $50, but you’d better get in early!

10.01.2022 Niagara Lane are at it again. Making some delicious cheeses and taking orders for Christmas and new year cheese boxes. We’ll have our truffle infused goats milk cheese, Crescenza, feta, farmhouse with Italian herbs, and if you get in early you might be able to take home some of our Caerphilly a lovely welsh cheddar.

08.01.2022 Dear lovers of cheese - with local markets being cancelled, due to the Coronavirus, Niagara Lane will cease our small scale production, for the moment. The last batch of cheeses will only be available at the Sapphire Community Pantry, Peden St, Bega, tomorrow, Thursday 25 March, for a donation to the Pantry. They’re doing it tough, and that means our community is doing it tough too. We’ll have a range of cheeses wrapped and ready to go, so please pop by and grab some from 11am until it’s all gone. Physical distancing a must. We will have our truffle infused goat’s milk cheese, feta and the last of our Crescenza. In the meantime, we’ll try to get some Parmesan ageing for when things return to ‘normal’.
