25.01.2022 I've been busy with family portrait sessions over the school holidays - it would seem the enforced CV19 isolation has made everyone want to celebrate being back together again This was the gathering of a clan in Denmark for a Christmas in July a few days ago

23.01.2022 A blast from the past...this showed up in my feed this morning, a portrait of poet, writer and musician Joe Dolce, taken when he was in Denmark for a Brave New Works Festival about 11 years ago.

19.01.2022 Vicki Thorn (The Waifs) and Simon & Tammy London have put the last few strange months to good use, creating musical magic in the Great Southern. We did this photo shoot about a week before the world went weird...it's lovely to see these images finally being shared as life settles back down again. This week, tickets will be going on sale for a show in Albany with VERY limited tickets at the beautiful entertainment centre on the 5th of September! Book your babysitters and keep your eyes peeled for ticket release date

18.01.2022 I had a fabulous few days over in Augusta with Naturaliste Charters Whale Watching photographing whales, capturing portraits and doing some storytelling images...I love my job! I'll pop the link to the blog post which has more of the story and photos in the comments.

18.01.2022 Guess whose back! Nic Duncan came onboard today for the final day of school holidays and lucked out with two epic tours. This morning's passengers were greeted ...with Humpbacks in every direction. This new pulse of whales today couldn't have come at a better time with plenty of young eager eyes looking for the tell-tale whale blow. Each kid waiting for their chance to yell "thar she blows" from the bow. Dolphins rode in the streamline of the boat on the way back to the harbour, creating some magic photos moments. Look at how they pierce the water with each porpoise out! The afternoon whales melted hearts as a brand newborn humpback calf appeared right alongside its mother. A sleek smooth grey baby only a few metres long!! This little cutie could only hold its breath for a minute or so, minimal compared to its mother who has a breath hold of around forty minutes! A very early calf - fingers crossed this little blubber bag can withstand the long journey still ahead. We didn't stay around this pair for too long as its good practice to leave the mum and calf some quiet time to give them the best chance. We soon encountered a competition pod! Head lunging and tail throwing were the featured surface activity. The Humpbacks at this time of year always know how to put on a show. With the kids back to school in the coming days we have a forecast of good weather and great whales. If you want to avoid the crowds now is a good time to book! A Whaley good end to a jam-packed two weeks of school holidays! See more

18.01.2022 Been back up in the Murchison region of WA this week...where the dogs are small but their ears are as big as their personalities.

17.01.2022 Wilson Inlet is fit to burst. Looking forward to the opening tomorrow to let it flow into the Southern Ocean. Are you going to get down there at 1pm? DenmarkWesternAustralia.com

14.01.2022 Over the last few strange months I've been photographing Denmark locals in a little project called This is who we are. It kept me sane. Now, this is who I am, for those who don't know me already

13.01.2022 I've created a couple of 2021 calendars for my family and thought I'd make them available to everyone :-) One features some of my favourite photos of Denmark, and the other has my fave portraits of Denmark birds. The calendars are printed on lovely art paper (so you could frame the images afterwards) and are available in two sizes. I'll put the links to the previews in the comments so you can have a browse, and also the link to buy them online. Start putting a few ticks on your Christmas pressies list

11.01.2022 I got to hang out with this lovely family yesterday, capturing some holiday memories for them as they enjoyed their regular Denmark getaway. Here's a little preview for them...

06.01.2022 Last week in Carnarvon, at the opening of the Art Gallery of WA's exhibition How Did I Get Here?

04.01.2022 Day 2 out in Augusta's Geographe Bay with the awesome crew from Naturaliste Charters Whale Watching, was action-packed. I'd put a request out to the universe asking if I could capture some breaching whale photos. The message apparently got through because we had an afternoon of aerobatics.
