11.01.2022 There is something about Nice Shop that few people know... something that for me makes running our shop such a privilege. Every now and again, someone walks through our door wondering if Anne or I can 'make use' of something. I love that people think of us. It can be a bag of treasured scraps of fabric, an old sewing kit with cottons no longer in use, embroidery threads. All sorts of notions. These come in from women sorting through their own stashes or on very special occas...ions... sorting through a Mothers or Grandmothers bits and pieces now that they are gone. Often accompanied by the sentiment 'I wanted to find them a good home' or 'I couldn't bear to throw them out or take them to the op shop.' We accept them willingly and sort them lovingly, each scrap or button telling us a tiny piece of another women's life in a time of their lives. Thankyou Robin for your buttons.
