08.01.2022 WNSWLHD statement: Orange The Western NSW Local Health District has a confirmed case of COVID-19. There is no need for concern in the Orange community. ... The case is currently in isolation in the Orange Local Government Area, but has a residential address outside of the Health District. The case is linked to a known cluster in Sydney. The Public Health Unit has contacted all close contacts. They have been provided with Public Health information which includes to be tested for COVID-19 and remain in isolation for 14 days. If you have not been contacted by the Public Health Unit you have not been identified as a close contact. The WNSWLHD has reopened the Orange Fever Clinic at the Orange Health Service. It will be operational from 10.00am to 5.00pm Saturday and Sunday and 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. In addition we have also set up a drive through COVID-19 testing clinic at the Orange Showground. from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Operation from tomorrow Saturday 1 August. The service is free of charge, and you don’t need a referral or appointment to attend. It’s a drive through service so you won’t have to leave your car. Our staff will be able to come to you, do a short assessment and get your details, and then do a swab from the back of your throat and then the back of your nose. The tests are then sent away for analysis which normally takes about 48 hours. If your test is negative, you can request to get those results by text message even faster. Right now, our message is very simple if you have any symptoms, even mild ones, arrange to be tested. We all need to keep our family and loved ones safe. To help stop the spread of COVID-19: - If you are unwell stay in, get tested and isolate - Wash your hands regularly. Take hand sanitiser with you when you go out - Keep your distance. Leave 1.5 metres between yourself and others - Wear a mask in situations where you cannot physically distance

07.01.2022 Masks can be an extra layer of protection from COVID-19 when you are around other people. Here are some instructions for making a mask at home: https://www.hea...lth.nsw.gov.au//how-to-make-a-cloth-mask.pdf If you’re making a cloth one, aim for three layers, with a water-repellent outside layer. Have a few for when you’re out. Put the used ones in a plastic bag and wash at home later. No masks for children under 2 yrs they’re a choking hazard. Even when wearing a mask, you still need to try to keep 1.5m away from others, wash your hands regularly and if you are sick stay home and get tested. For more information about the protection that masks provide against COVID-19 visit https://www.health.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19-are-cloth-
