23.01.2022 Lots of things happening at Nicho today - continuation of the air con installation, air quality testing, security alarm work, intensive safety work by tree arborists, Nicho staff planning & programming and, of course, our wonderful vacation care staff running exceptional programs. Everything is being done to ensure that we have a happy, healthy and safe start to the 2021 school year. Thank you to Sarah SW and Ms Nunik who also arrived ready to work on the school garden but were unable to because of the tree work.

17.01.2022 Education Week was held this past week from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August. Education Week is NSW public schools' annual week of celebration to highlight the achievements of students and staff and the role of public schools as the cornerstone of their communities. This year’s theme is ‘Learning together’ and it reflects the incredible months of 2020 where NSW public school students have continued to learn and achieve, despite natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.... NSW schools have experienced significant disruption but staff in partnership with parents and carers have worked tirelessly to ensure that high quality teaching and learning has continued for all students. I hope that you enjoy Nicho's Education Week films. I will share a link to each film in the comments section below this post. Thank you to all of our staff and students for their incredible contributions and tireless effort! I am so proud to be principal of this wonderful school! Mrs Ross :)

17.01.2022 We are currently engaged in the process of writing a new school song. The first step in this process was for the class teachers to brainstorm with all of the students what "Nicho" means to them, then the concert band, led by their wonderful conductor, Lara Dodd, worked harmoniously to develop lyrics and a melody. These first few steps have been brilliantly captured in a short clip filmed by Ms Mara Page, 2P teacher.
