24.01.2022 Healthy baking time!!!! I felt like a weekend treat, so made these yummy little low carb blueberry muffins. Made with coconut flour and no added sugars or sweeteners.... They even passed the kiddo taste test Comment below if you'd like the recipe.

24.01.2022 Sorry I've been quiet the last few days, but we've been busy getting ready for & attending the @tkstudios_hopevalley annual concert! Lily was very excited to get up on stage, all done up with hair & makeup. Me, I was a backstage mum.... helping dress the kids! I take an oily first aid kit for myself, Lily & any other dancer that might need a bit of support on the day. Nerves can get the better of you, kids have meltdowns, and backstage sees high stress levels! Valor, Stress ...Away & White Angelica were my no1 oils this year!!!! 22.01.2022 I've been ditching & switching for over 12 months now, for more natural & cheaper options. I now make my own dishwasher rinseaid! Its easy to do, lasts ages & leaves the dishes sparkling clean. 20.01.2022 We've been pretty lucky in SA.... first time masks have been imposed and a severe lockdown. We've got a house full of food & booze, plus plenty of board games, movies & gaming platforms. 6 day's should be a breeze. Call it quality family time! Stay safe, stay home unless its essential & wear a mask when out! ... If anyone needs anything & can't get out please let me know. We're all in this together!

19.01.2022 Let's talk cold sores So, Wednesday I felt the familiar tingle of a cold sore on my lip. I started applying Frankincense neat on it as often as I could, and continue with this for another 2 days. Last night the blisters had started to dry out already so I also covered then in rose ointment. Overnight they are now lovely and dried (and crusty ). Am hoping another 2 days of this treatment & the cold sore will be gone!... For anyone that suffers, you know they can hang around for 2 weeks, so 5 days is a massive improvement! This works for me, individual results may vary. Melissa oil is also highly recommend for treating cold sores (it's on my wish list). Both of these products can be used for various other ailments. 18.01.2022 Tummy aches a plenty in our house last night! So glad I have these two to help us! One for me & one for Lily! The kids range is already diluted, so you can apply it straight onto the tummy for instant relief. For me, I dilute the digize and add in some extra peppermint, then slather that stuff all over my belly!!!! Amazing how quickly it helps calm things down. This was one of my first oils, and I don't go anywhere without it.... Do you suffer from bloating or stomach discomfort? If you'd like a sample to try then please let me know!

15.01.2022 So.... I received this beauty as a freebie around 6 months ago. It took me ages to decide to use it as I find a lot of cleansing bars are really drying for my skin. Well, I don't know why I waited so long! The charcoal bar is amazing! Leaves my skin feeling clean without being drying, plus smells lovely . Win win! I use it every day as a facial cleanser. I cut the bar in half so it's easy to manage & I'm not wasting any! ... If you're not sure what goodies to try on your next order, give this a go!

10.01.2022 Why cant I smell my diffuser after a while? Is there something wrong? Nope... its called nose blindness friends! Ever had someone walk into your home and freak out that it smells so amazing and you realise you cant smell it? ... Scientists believe that the reason for nose blindness is so that we can detect unexpected smells. If our brains were always focused on the smells that are supposed to be there, we would have less processing power to notice and interpret potentially threatening or dangerous odors. When a new odor is introduced in our environment, this sense can be overwhelming. Our noses and brains work hard to identify the odor and respond to it. After all, our senses exist to keep us alive and healthy. Therefore, we notice threatening smells much more than safe ones. However, very quickly after noticing a new smell, our receptors dull themselves to that scent. We can still detect it, but it is much more muted. Smells dull after the initial detection because we have determined that they are not threatening. Therefore, they do not need to be focused on. So don't stress! your diffuser is working fine, and so is your nose. You are still benefitting from the smell!! If you do want to always smell the diffuser you can chop and change the scents to keep your nose guessing on what you have just put in. See more

09.01.2022 Hands up if anyones dogs or kids (or you) dislike thunder . This guy is freaking out, so I've applied Frankincense & Lavender direct to his ears (dilute for little dogs), and am diffusing this trio (stress away, frank, orange) to try & help bring some calm to all of us! Plus it smells nice! It's definitely taken the edge off & there's less pacing. Here's hoping he settles soon & has his usual nap. There's so much drool I'll need to clean the floor!

When I first stared on this path with Young Living I never thought I'd need or want so many different oils & blends, plus the other products I use every day! My collection is only small compared to others, but started with the 12 oils from the starter kit. It's taken over 12 months to grow this little collection!
