10.02.2022 Processed up some beautiful lace sheoak. Pen, pool cue, pepper and call blanks.
31.01.2022 Testing out the new shorter rails for the lewisaw. Birdseye wandoo at 8.5% moisture content. Birdseye figuring doesn't run very deep, but the natural edge will help make for some unique resin pieces.
17.01.2022 Wando burl on the bandsaw mill this morning. Lovely golden colours came out.
28.12.2021 Another peice of farm burn pile salvage lace sheoak on the bandsaw mill. A little bit off staining as per usual with old pieces like these. Still were snapped up pretty quickly by one off my customers.
16.12.2021 Set the lewisaw frame up to mill this oversized karri for a client recently. 5m x 1.4m slabs. Don't normally like karri, but apart from some rot in the heart they were very pleasing to the eye.
03.12.2021 Took a few nice burls off one off the fpc auction logs from last year. A little bit off staining, but some nice figuring. Too large for the bandsaw, so out with the chainsaw. The rest of the log should yield some nice timber with the swing blade next week.
