25.01.2022 Because it's been so long since our last break, we will be taking Monday the 25th in conjunction with Australia Day to have a long weekend. You should do the same because we won't be here to help you anyway

17.01.2022 It's about time https://www.aaaa.com.au//automotive-right-to-repair-law-a/

15.01.2022 Pinched this from one of my former students

13.01.2022 My dad’s business was called Nickels Office Machines. My first business was Nickels Auto Clinic. There’s something about putting your family name on the sign out front that makes you passionate about protecting the business reputation. After all, when I’m gone from this earth, my name will be what’s left.

12.01.2022 Happy Friday the 13th you lucky dogs I don't believe in luck. I have this sticker on my office window that pretty well sums up how I feel about luck in the workplace.

08.01.2022 A new addition to our Sure Shot Family. To view our sprayers use the VIEW SHOP button above. To purchase message me and I will get back to you with payment and shipping options.

06.01.2022 It's been a long time coming together, but our new engine assembly room is ready to shift into. A Texas size thank y'all goes out to John Bake Electrical for making the room daylight on the darkest of days, to National Heating and Cooling for keeping us warm in the winter and cool in the summer, to Tools Unlimited for ALWAYS giving us a great deal on the tools we need, and to Golden City Sheetmetal for steel bench top that's a perfect fit.

06.01.2022 The first engine is ready to come out of the new assembly room. Whether it's out of the new room or not, this engine is photo worthy. It's a Group A 5.0L Holden. It came in with some design flaws from previous work. Some of which was causing repeat failures. It's going out with roller lifter, new roller rockers, forged slugs, and lots of love.

05.01.2022 I would say I'm only selling this due to an upgrade, but that would be a lie. The compressor, while it still pumps, has been changing it's own oil for years. No...t only that, but it has a serious knock. The whole neighborhood knows when it's pumping. I couldn't afford the down time to tear into it for repairs, so I bought a new one. The displacement on the pump would be in the area of 50 cfm, but the real value is the tank. If it doesn't sell, then I will probably strip the tank to make an off-set smoker. The motor runs no problem, and I'll include the starter. See more

04.01.2022 In this time of global panicdemic so much is uncertain. My son and my step son are both out of work because of it. Who knows how long it will last. As a service to the transportation industry, we are an essential business. We’re all healthy and going strong here. My customers are all still open for business, although I did have one tell me this morning that his business had died because of cancelled appointments. Other customers have commented they’re busy but the phones a...re quiet. That means they’re only busy until they get caught up. Years ago when I had an automotive repair shop, we would get slow and I would tell my guys just hang on. Cars will be coming in on a tow truck for a tune up. They did. It always happened when people quit getting their vehicle serviced. I understand not wanting to spend money that you don’t have to at this time. You can put off a service for a little while, but if you carry it too far your car will go in on a tow truck for an oil change. Of course at that time it’s too late for service and what would have been scheduled maintenance has now become an emergency repair. That where my business comes in. That’s actually good for my business, but I don’t want you to have to spend money that you don’t have to. It will be much better for everyone involved if you keep your appointment for service. I most likely won’t see any work from you keeping up the maintenance on your car, but at the moment I don’t need the extra business anyway. These local mechanics need your business, and they would rather do a vehicle service for you than an engine replacement. It’s really just a matter of if you pay them now, or pay me later. The smart money is to pay a little for something you can schedule instead of paying a lot for a surprise kaboom.

03.01.2022 This read just touches the edge of amazing. There’s so much physics involved that’s not mentioned. Any questions? https://www.facebook.com/157130251058147/posts/3585966244841180/?d=n
